Namsung group POW has confirmed the release of their third EP on June 27, signaling their comeback.
POW (Yochi, Hyunbin, Jungbin, Dongyeon, Hong) agency Grid Entertainment unexpectedly released a poster announcing the comeback through their official social media at midnight on the 13th, raising fans' expectations. The poster contains an image of POW with a cheerful vibe due to their music, set against a blue-green background with orange and yellow colors, hinting at the album's emotion while intriguing the audience.
Particularly, this album was completed with deep involvement from leader Yochi in the overall production, resulting in a work that embodies POW's unique colors. The overall mood of the included tracks is filled with an exciting and energetic atmosphere, and with visuals based on the 'Powteen + European Youth Culture' concept, it is expected to be an album that encapsulates 'POW-style youth energy.'
Ahead of this comeback, POW has consistently communicated with fans through various activities during their hiatus, maintaining their presence. The special single 'Gimme Love' released in February received a warm response from domestic and international fans, and the self-produced web drama 'Always Here' showcased the members' individual acting skills and new charms. They even released an original soundtrack of the same name for the drama, challenging their musical scope and proving their non-debutant capabilities.
Additionally, POW demonstrated a wise approach to activities by planning entertainment content, communicating through various platforms, and 'filling even the hiatus with content.' Despite being under a small management company, POW has shown a distinct growth curve, proving their extensive potential in music, video, entertainment, and visuals.
An agency official noted, 'This album will be a comeback that can recharge positive energy, just like the fandom name 'Power.' Please look forward to even more mature music and stage performances.'
Meanwhile, POW is set to embark on full-scale comeback activities with the release of their 3rd EP on June 27.
