'Weekly Idol' is a flagship variety program that has been aired since July 2011 on MBC M and MBC Every 1. It serves as a variety show manual for all idols in South Korea and a guide for global idol fans, making it a highly popular program among fans, as idols must go through it ahead of their comebacks. In particular, 'Weekly Idol's 'Random Play Dance,' 'n-times speed dance,' etc., have become hot topics, establishing themselves as essential courses that idols must master.
Jeong Hyung Don and Defconn served as the primary MCs for 'Weekly Idol,' while Yoo Se-yoon, Kim Shin-young, Lee Sang-min, Cho Sae-ho, Hwang Kwanghee, Nam Chang-hee, Hwang Kwanghee, Eunhyuk, Seo Eun-kwang, Lee Mi-joo, Boom, and Lee Jang-jun took on MC roles, creating a platform where idols can fully showcase their hidden charms and variety skills.

Minhyuk has received acclaim for his sharp wit and stylish hosting skills across various variety shows, showcasing a unique sense of variety. CRAVITY's Hyungjun, loved by fans for his cute appearance and surprising charms, is expected to bring new vitality to the program with his distinctive fresh energy.
