REI, the 'MZ wannabe icon' from IVE, revealed a Nagoya vlog.
The agency Starship Entertainment recently uploaded a video titled '[IVE LOG] Healing time of homebody Kongsoon in Nagoya' on IVE's official YouTube channel. The video captured REI's warm days spent in his hometown of Nagoya while fulfilling the schedule for the fan concert tour in Japan.
Arriving first in Nagoya, the starting city of the tour, REI headed home to eat home-cooked food before rehearsal ahead of the solo fan concert held in his hometown. REI expressed his excitement, stating, "It's been a while since I've come to work as IVE, so my mindset feels different. I have to see a lot of Nagoya dives (official fan club name)! My goal is to interact and make eye contact with as many dives as possible and say, 'I'm back!'."
Upon arriving home, REI began introducing his house. The house was filled with items filled with love from his family, from the bed prepared for REI in the living room to photos of REI and IVE placed throughout the home, articles in local media covering IVE's entry into Tokyo Dome, and a magazine cover featuring REI solo. In particular, a photo of the family dog Porsche and a sticker with a drawing of a 'speeding guinea pig' contained a message saying, "Thank you for coming to Nagoya," deeply moving REI. REI smiled happily, saying, "The love of Nagoya's REI, I'm proud. My family is so cute! I'm touched."
What captivated the fans the most was the 'grandma's home-cooked meal.' With a generous spread including beef udon, beef stew, fish cakes, salmon, salad, glutinous rice cakes, strawberries, pineapples, Chateaubriand steak, and kimchi, REI exclaimed, "I can't express it in words, this is the taste!" He added with a laugh, "In fact, the best restaurant in Nagoya is our home. Grandma's house."
After finishing the concert rehearsal, REI returned home with member Ahn Yujin. Ahn Yujin remarked, "We had a really delicious dinner earlier. I ate REI's grandma's fish cakes, sushi, and udon," complementing the texture of the udon noodles and meat, and REI agreed, saying, "That's the characteristic of grandma's house. The menu just keeps coming. I have to perform tomorrow, but I'm too full." Later, Ahn Yujin looked at the photos of IVE decorating the living room and said, "It feels like sleeping surrounded by IVE," as they both lay in bed and said their goodnights.
After the first day of the Nagoya concert, REI returned home to finish the day by eating snacks like salad and pizza toast. REI shared, "Seeing the Nagoya dives feels like seeing my family. My heart feels so at ease, and I was truly happy to spend the day." After finishing the second day of performances, REI remarked, "I was happy that the Nagoya dives said, 'Welcome.' I will diligently show them more stages from now on."
After completing the Fukuoka concert, REI headed back to Nagoya. Before moving, REI revealed, "I fell into makeup with orange tones," showcasing his makeup using blush, catching attention with his look featuring red-rimmed glasses. While traveling by train, he enjoyed salmon onigiri and aloe yogurt, and playfully gestured towards the camera, providing fans with another charming moment.
Continuing to recharge in Nagoya, REI expressed at the end of the video, "I'm sorry that I only showed my comfortable face after having a really long-awaited relaxing time." However, he also stated, "I hope the dives will like seeing my relaxed appearance," adding, "I'm satisfied that I can show my comfortable self and my daily life of eating well and sleeping well."
Earlier, REI was swept up in the 'Nagoya rich rumor' raised by singer Kangnam. Kangnam jokingly commented on REI, who is from Nagoya, saying, "You're rich," leading to videos titled 'REI, the rich girl acknowledged by Kangnam' and 'REI from a wealthy family' trending in online communities. In response, REI stated, "I'm working hard right now."
REI shares a variety of fun content through the YouTube channel 'Try to Follow REI by Celsius Shipdo' every Thursday at 7 p.m. IVE was recently honored as the most influential girl idol in the '2025 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards.'
