On the 13th, the agency Starship Entertainment stated, 'Hyungwon has completed his 1 year and 6 months of military service and has been discharged today.'
Hyungwon, who entered the training center on Nov. 14, 2023, and served as an active-duty soldier in the Army, completed his defense duty and was discharged on this day. With this, MONSTA X is set to regroup in full ahead of their 10th debut anniversary on the 14th and the release of the digital album 'NOW PROJECT vol.1'.
Hyungwon expressed his gratitude to fans through his agency, saying, 'Monbebe (official fan club name)! I'm back. I really missed you all. During my military service, I read many letters you wrote, and each one gave me great strength, allowing me to discharge healthily. Thank you for always being my strength and for waiting for me.'

On the day of his discharge, Hyungwon is expected to hold a live broadcast to commemorate his discharge at 6 p.m. through MONSTA X's official YouTube channel.
