Rapper Sani has been sued by a fellow artist on charges of trespassing.
On the 12th, Xports News reported that Chinese artist Leta, affiliated with Fameus Entertainment, filed a lawsuit against Sani and a representative of the agency, Jung, in March on charges of joint trespassing and joint property concealment.
Fameus Entertainment is a hip-hop label founded by Sani. According to reports, Sani is said to have instructed Jung and others to unlawfully enter Leta's residence and move or dispose of furniture and items that were being stored during the period Leta was staying in China due to visa expiration issues.
In response, Leta claimed that she never gave them the front door password and asserted that the unauthorized entry and movement of her property occurred without her consent, leading her to file a lawsuit against Sani and Jung on charges of joint trespassing and joint property concealment.
In particular, Sani was involved in controversy last year due to charges of special injury. On July 28 last year, at around 8:30 p.m., he allegedly assaulted a passerby identified as B by saying, "Keep your bicycle straight," while using his mobile phone. As a result, B suffered injuries around the eyes and some damage to his teeth.
Sani's father, identified as A, was also under police investigation for assaulting B and his acquaintance, but since B was also charged with mutual assault, the investigation was concluded with the parties agreeing not to pursue charges.
However, since B's injuries were confirmed, Sani was sent to the prosecutor's office without detention in January this year on charges of special injury, and through his legal representative, he stated, "I inevitably expressed my apologies to the victim through a statement first, but I want to personally meet the victim and ask for forgiveness" and added, "I apologize to all those I may have disappointed. Please scold me for my mistakes."
At that time, the law firm also conveyed its intention to "actively cooperate with the investigation and do its best to apologize to the victim as soon as possible and recover the damages." Subsequently, in March, the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office decided to postpone prosecution against Sani, concluding the case.
However, as the injury case was wrapped up, he was once again sued for trespassing and is undergoing a police investigation. Sani and Jung are reported to be facing police questioning in June. In relation to this, Sani has not yet disclosed any specific position.
