Influencer Kim Ji-hye, from the group Cats, told about the harrowing situation she encountered during a fall while pregnant with twins.
On the 12th, Kim Ji-hye posted a lengthy message on her social account saying, "It was a nightmare of a morning."
She said, "I was walking at home when my foot got caught, and I suddenly fell. I wasn't running or moving quickly, but I lost my balance in an instant and fell hard on my stomach. I don't clearly remember the exact moment of the fall. It happened so quickly that I remember my stomach touching the ground, and I think I tried to brace myself with my arm, but my knee was bleeding, my arm was immobile, and I could only hold my stomach tight."
She continued, "My husband was in the living room and rushed over in surprise to call 119, and I wanted to quickly go to the hospital to confirm that the babies were healthy, but in the car, the time spent feeling like I was losing my mind continued. No matter how many calls I made to various hospitals, there were no openings, and the obstetrician was unavailable, so I couldn't go to any hospital for several hours. It was particularly difficult because it was the weekend. I had given up on the orthopedic clinic due to X-rays and desperately wanted to go to the obstetrician, but ultimately, I couldn't go."
Fortunately, when morning came, I received my first check-up at a nearby hospital, and thankfully, all the babies were healthy. Kim Ji-hye showed a tearful expression, saying, "I can't even describe how many tears flowed the moment I heard the heartbeat. I thought I could do anything because I wanted it so badly, but I feel filled with despair and guilt for not being able to protect the babies before they were even born."
He said, "The reason I'm posting this is that I know many people on my Instagram are undergoing in vitro fertilization and are pregnant, and I hope you all take extra care. Before I experienced it, I had never heard of falls among pregnant women, but I found through research that many fall due to the weight of the belly making it hard to keep balance. Please be careful, walk slowly, and never wear slippers at home. Even if you happen to fall, make sure to check for any contractions or bleeding. It's hard to go to the hospital via 119 in the early morning hours, so it's said that going directly to the hospital will make the admission process faster. Let's all take care of our bodies and stay healthy. Since there are no medications that can be prescribed, I believe the best way for pregnant women to stay safe is to be careful themselves."
While saying, "I think many of you must have been worried after reading this, but I am now okay. However, one arm is completely immobile, so I'll probably be living a lying down life at home. For the time being, I plan to take a break while comforting my shocked family of four. Thank you for reading the long message. And to the paramedic from 119 who kept worrying about me after recently giving birth, I really appreciate all your efforts until the end."
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-hye married Choi Seong-wook, from the group Paran, in 2019. After six years of marriage, she overcame infertility and succeeded in in vitro fertilization, and shared the news of having twins, which received congratulations from many people.
