Actress Bae Doona shared behind-the-scenes details of filming the movie 'Virus'.
On the 11th, a video titled "It would be better to talk with ChatGPT, hey..." was uploaded to the 'Yeojeongjaehyeong' channel.
In the video that day, Bae Doona and Jang Kiha appeared as guests returning through the movie 'Virus' (directed by Kang Yi-gwan). Jang Kiha made his screen acting debut through 'Virus'.
Bae Doona, while listening to Jang Kiha's feelings, revealed, "I can't believe you were nervous. The scenes we were talking about were when we were only shooting for the second or third time, and Yeonwoo was already delivering lines, and I had just one line in that scene. During the rehearsal, when he heard my line, he said, 'Rehearsal cut, we're preparing to shoot now,' and looked at me and said, 'Are you going to deliver the line like that?'" This caught attention.
Jang Kiha was startled and said, "No, you're saying it strangely," and Jung Jae-hyung teased, "So that's how it was, Kiha." Bae Doona replied, "But that's how it happened!" Jang Kiha clarified, "If I say it like this, it sounds like I'm causing trouble." To this, Bae Doona asked, "'Are you going to deliver the line like that?' So I answered, 'Yes, that's how it's going to be.' Do you remember?" Jung Jae-hyung was curious, asking, "What were you surprised about? What was your intention?"
Then Jang Kiha explained, "If I said that, I was preparing to think about what I would do while hearing that tone, which was established, right? I was wondering if I could match that tone," and Jung Jae-hyung confirmed, "For someone who isn't used to this, if you're going to respond like that, it means you're thinking about at what speed and rhythm you should speak, right?"
Bae Doona remarked, "I'm also very curious. Why did you ask me that at that time? Because you were the first actor to ask me such a question, 'Are you going to deliver the line like that?' So I was really surprised," and Jang Kiha said, "It's so embarrassing." Bae Doona asked, "You remember, right?" and Jang Kiha replied, "I really don't remember," adding, "Hearing this, I started to feel warmer. Give me a chance to explain. You've been thinking until now, 'Why did I do that?'"
Thus, Bae Doona said, "When I first received that question, I was surprised because I thought, 'Is the line I had different from the line I was thinking of during practice? Was it different from the reaction I expected, so I was confused? Would this be the tone suitable for this situation? Is that what you were asking?'" Jang Kiha reiterated, "I think what I said earlier was definitely correct. While I was preparing what to do, I must have asked if your delivery was confirmed, and not knowing my intention, all I could think was in my head, 'Why am I asking? I'm planning to say it this way, but I wonder if that's right.' I had no mental capacity to explain my situation that I was thinking to myself, 'So that's how it is? Then what should I do?'"
Bae Doona acknowledged, "It felt like you were making such strategies," and Jang Kiha apologized, saying, "I'm sorry, senior." Bae Doona replied, "No, it's all in the past. We're just joking around," and Jang Kiha reflected, "Thinking about it, it's wrong for someone making their first movie to ask a veteran, 'Are you going to deliver the line like that?'"
Jung Jae-hyung drew an analogy, saying, "If you're singing with me and doing a duet, it would be like asking, 'Are you going to sing it like that?'" But Jang Kiha shot back, "But aren't you not good at singing?" causing an uproar on the scene. Jung Jae-hyung laughed and said, "Now go. Congratulations on the movie, go!" to which Jang Kiha apologized, saying, "Sorry for being rude multiple times to you, seniors."
Bae Doona commented, "What was funny was that the scene was really short—a line like 'Okay' and (Jang Kiha) had many lines. My line wasn't that important," and Jang Kiha reflected, "So that completely makes sense. My first shooting day is definitely confirmed. It was a burial scene, wasn't it?" Jung Jae-hyung humorously quipped, "You're currently the one who's buried! You're the one getting buried!"
Jang Kiha expressed his desperation, saying, "I feel like I'm about to get buried right now," and explained, "While we're talking like this, it reminds me of how you behave so that I forget you're a great actor and senior. You treat me so well. I think, 'We both started off similarly,' and that's why I asked, 'Are you going to deliver the line like that?'"
Hearing this, Bae Doona said, "That's right, it was that tone," and Jang Kiha added, "I think that's how it ended up happening, you treated me so casually." Then, Jung Jae-hyung noted, "You've been buried. Because you just dug a hole. The next question is about the fact that you're a 28-year veteran actor with more than 50 works.
