Ramiran commented on her decision to join 'High Five.'
On the 12th, a production briefing for the film 'High Five' (directed by Kang Hyung-Cheol, provided/distributed by NEW, produced by Annapurna Film) was held at Lotte Cinema in Kondae, Seoul. With Park Kyung-Rim as the MC, the event was attended by director Kang Hyung-Cheol, actors Lee Jae-In, Ahn Jae-Hong, Ramiran, Kim Hee-Won, Oh Jung-Se, and Park Jin-Young.
'High Five' is a comic action story about five individuals who acquire different superpowers by chance through organ transplantation and their encounters with those who seek their abilities. This new work by director Kang Hyung-Cheol, known for his delightful tone and stylish directing in previous films such as 'Scandal Makers' and 'Sunny,' has attracted attention in the film industry with its unique setting of ordinary people gaining superpowers through organ transplantation.
Ramiran plays the role of 'Seonnyeo' and shared her reasons for participating in the project, saying, "I had faith and expectations in the director, but it was also a lot about my role. It's a pretty role. Even if I'm not pretty, it's a role where I can become beautiful by using my superpowers, and I thought, 'This is the last of my life,' and 'When will I get to do this?' so I decided to take it on."
Hearing this, director Kang Hyung-Cheol remarked, "I always wanted to work with actress Ramiran. I seduced her by saying it's a role of a beauty reminiscent of first love, and that's actually true," he joked.
He continued, "This was my first time working with actress Ramiran, and it was touching. The director had to do some work on set, but I ended up becoming an audience member. I was a bad actress who made it impossible for him to work and just let him enjoy it blankly."
However, Ramiran replied, "I've received so many compliments that it felt a bit burdensome," eliciting laughter.
Meanwhile, 'High Five' will be available in theaters nationwide on May 30.
