ENHYPEN's Jay noted that he referred to 'Lucifer' actor Tom Ellis while acting as a vampire.
On the afternoon of 11th, a premiere event and briefing for ENHYPEN's mini 6th album 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' concept cinema 'DESIRE Concept Cinema' took place at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. The briefing was attended by ENHYPEN members and director Park Min-soo to discuss the film.
'DESIRE Concept Cinema' is a short film visualizing the concept of the mini 6th album 'DESIRE: UNLEASH.' This concept cinema, inspired by the movie 'Talk Show with the Devil,' features a talk show with vampires.
Park Min-soo, the director, stated, "The overall theme of the film is the desires of vampires, which showcases three types of vampires. One is a vampire that craves blood, and conversely, another tries to suppress it and find humanity, while the vampire that appears on the talk show shows a conflict between these two sides. I wanted to portray this conflicting vampire character in an interesting way."
When asked about the works he referred to in his expression, Jay replied, "It's based on 'Talk Show with the Devil,' so the background is similar. I referred to that by watching the clips for the overall story background."
He also mentioned, "For my individual character, I referenced the character played by Tom Ellis in the series 'Lucifer,' which I have always liked. Since it deals with a fantastical being and its meeting with realistic world people, I considered a character that could be a little arrogant and conceited as a spiritual being."
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will make a comeback with their mini 6th album 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' on 5th next month, after 7 months. In advance, the main part of 'DESIRE Concept Cinema' is scheduled to be released at midnight on the 12th.
