Anchor Hong Ju-yeon has begun rigorous training to appear on 'Immortal Songs'.
On the 11th, KBS2's 'The Boss's ears are Donkey's ears' (hereafter 'Sa-dang-gwi') depicted Hong Ju-yeon's journey toward 'Immortal Songs'.
On that day, Um Ji-in admonished Hong Ju-yeon, who was listening to music with earphones in the office, saying, "What are you doing listening to loud music with earphones in the company office?" Hong Ju-yeon replied, "You asked me to sing," and Um Ji-in was surprised, saying, "You are going to sing? Am I hearing this wrong?" Um Ji-in noted, "A request has come in," mentioning the news of her appearance on 'Immortal Songs', and asked, "Don't you know you can't sing?" Hearing this, Park Myung-soo said, "Why aren't you stopping your sister-in-law? Did you fight? You fought, didn't you?" Jeon Hyun-moo commented, "This will make the news as a fight," which brought laughter.
Um Ji-in asked, "What kind of special feature is this?" and pointed out that while she could understand the term "entertainment surge stock" due to senior Hyun-moo, she questioned, "Isn't this about singing? Didn't Ju-yeon listen to the song?" Jeon Hyun-moo supported her by saying, "If you show that level of singing ability, it could surge even more. Completely an entertainment surge stock," and Um Ji-in retorted, "But it's not Hong Ju-yeon, it's me, right? The entertainment surge stock is me," which earned jeers.
He then asked about the lineup, and upon being told, "Senior Kim Dae-ho is on it," he became angry, saying, "This is a competition involving our KBS anchors' pride. How can Hong Ju-yeon go?" Jeon Hyun-moo, who is close friends with Kim Dae-ho, reassured him, "Don't worry; Kim Dae-ho can't sing at all. He is terribly bad. Um Ji-in remarked, "Even if Kim Dae-ho goes out, we must do it with our pride; are you going? This is serious. You must win. We must win for the entire honor of KBS," emphasizing that they must carefully consider the song selection. "Performance is important. We need to have a flashy performance," she stated passionately.
Kim Suk expressed concern, saying, "You don't dance very well, do you? What is Ju-yeon good at?" and Jeon Hyun-moo candidly shared, "The performance might be a bit better, right? More than singing..."
Later, Um Ji-in insisted, "You must do what I determine as a performance type," even visiting a dance practice. He said, "I couldn't sleep again today. I can't sleep. Because of you. Are you going to go out in that condition? I thought and thought, and since it seemed impossible alone, I specially invited a duet just for you. Don't look far; I will help you," and Jeon Hyun-moo criticized, "Ju-yeon is trying to take advantage of the invitation."
Um Ji-in explained, "I genuinely will put my whole body on the line for Ju-yeon to win," and Kim Suk replied, "Hyun-moo should have gone to win, then," to which Jeon Hyun-moo agreed, saying, "I should have been invited to do something like 'Let's keep our love as it is.'" Following this, a choreography teacher appeared, and the song selection was Son Dam-bi's "Crazy." However, Hong Ju-yeon could not perform the chair dance due to her stiffness, so Um Ji-in took on that role. Jeon Hyun-moo pointed out, "You chose this song to steal this dance," and Um Ji-in explained, "But if Ju-yeon buys it, she should eliminate the things she can't do." Jeon Hyun-moo protested, saying, "How can you remove that from the song?" However, even Um Ji-in struggled to dance well, and the choreography teacher declared, "You are way too stiff. You will have to go with just the song without the choreography. I have been telling the production team that it would be better to go with just the song without choreography, but since you keep doing it this way, there's nothing more I can do."
Eventually, Um Ji-in decided to learn aerobics with the aerobic instructor called 'Halmaye' Yeo Jeong-in. He explained, "I brought her to teach properly. She is stiffer than I thought. Aerobics truly was in vogue. Let's properly teach Ju-yeon and the juniors, making the most of this precious time." Ultimately, in the test results, Um Ji-in scored 83 points, Hong Ju-yeon 71 points, Jung Eun-hye 60 points, and Kim Jin-woong received 13 points for attitude penalties, leading to laughter.
Meanwhile, Lee Soon-sil, who previously stated she would take on her fourth business challenge after three failures, visited a Pyongyang cold noodle restaurant run by Chef Yoon Sun-hee, the winner of 'Korean Cuisine Grand Master 3' and a resident of Hamgyeong Province. She commented on the neat kitchen, saying, "People from Hamgyeong are excellent home-makers," and Park Myung-soo pressed, "Hyun-moo should marry someone from that region." Jeon Hyun-moo replied, "Am I marrying again?" to which Lee Soon-sil stated, "I can if I want to. I have a lot of excellent people around me. Pretty, defectors are lined up," emphasizing her point. Jeon Hyun-moo asked, "Is my hobby getting married?" and Kim Suk added, "How many times are you getting married on 'Sa-dang-gwi'?" which further brought laughter.
In the meantime, Chef Yoon Sun-hee suggested a cooking competition, saying, "I want to see your cooking skills. Shall we have a challenge on 'Sa-dang-gwi'?" He provocatively added, "I will show you how to cook Hamgyeong dishes superbly, so bring it on," to which Lee Soon-sil retorted, "If I get annoyed, I will do it. If you dare, come!" Chef Yoon Sun-hee remarked, "This guy seems very confident and full of himself while claiming to cook food from the five provinces of the North. I wanted to see how well-prepared he is."
As a result of the competition, the winner was Chef Yoon Sun-hee. He asked, "Did I win? Are you giving me 'Sa-dang-gwi'?" to which Lee Soon-sil replied, "You have to," while also stating, "The franchise fee alone is 1.5 billion won," which caused laughter.
