Kian84, the man living born, heads to Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, to meet an ethnic minority that lives in the Himalayas.
The MBC representative entertainment program 'Born to Travel the World 4' (hereinafter 'Travel the World 4', directed by Kim Ji-woo), which will be broadcast for the first time today at 9:10 p.m., will feature Kian84 encountering the 'Sherpa' living in the Himalayan rent(expense) and facing their life.
Starting his arduous journey from 'Lukla,' the beginning point of Everest trekking located at an altitude of about 2,800 meters, Kian84 cannot contain his admiration as he gazes at the unfamiliar landscape before him and the majestic snow-capped mountains of the Himalayas. However, after hours of climbing and feeling hungry, he stops by a local restaurant in the Himalayas and captivates the attention of MZ Sherpas with his unique 'hand-eating broadcast'.
When he suggests joining the MZ Sherpas with his poor English skills, he hears the words, 'First-timers can't handle it,' which offends his pride. He confidently presents himself as a 'Korean Army (military veteran)' and volunteers for the porter work. He then embarks on an unparalleled ordeal, moving a load of up to 30 kilograms with the Sherpas.
However, faced with a load heavier than the full combat gear at the Nonsan training center, he soon becomes exhausted and is rumored to have exclaimed, 'The more you travel the world, the more you swear' as coarse words slipped out with every step. Ultimately, he shares his 'Kian-like thinking' that 'forcing someone who doesn't listen to do Sherpa work transforms a person,' realizing that this journey is not just a simple trip.
Meanwhile, the MZ Sherpa, who started working as a porter at the age of 12, astonishes Kian84 by climbing the steep Himalayan mountain path in slippers. Watching the Sherpa, who has endured a tough life at such a young age, Kian84 expresses, 'From a distance, it looks like a fairy tale; up close, it feels like a documentary,' as he confronts the weight of reality hidden in what he thought would be a beautiful journey in the Himalayas.
The three Sherpa brothers, who have quickly grown close, are expected to spend a meaningful night together, adding emotion and laughter to the Himalayan journey.
