Lee Yeon-bok, Shownu, and Jooheon were treated as state guests in Turkey.
On the program 'New Release Restaurant' aired on the 9th on KBS 2TV, the appearance of Lee Yeon-bok, Monsta X's Jooheon, and Shownu traveling to Turkey was depicted.
Jooheon said, 'We have another leader,' and Lee Yeon-bok stated, 'We formed a team this time: Boksstar X.' Lee Yeon-bok explained, 'This time, we received a special invitation in Turkey, along with Jooheon and Shownu.'
They headed to Turkey, and Lee Yeon-bok mentioned that Korean food is quite popular there. Jooheon explained, 'The MZ generation in Turkey saves pocket money to eat tteokbokki.'
After enjoying kebabs, ice cream, and mussel rice, they visited the fishing spot Galata Bridge to fish. At the end of the bridge, there was a floating shop, and the swaying kitchen on the boat attracted everyone's attention. Then, mackerel kebab appeared, and Lee Yeon-bok elevated the taste of the kebab by drizzling his homemade soy sauce on it.
Lee Yeon-bok boasted, saying, 'This shows how Koreans eat.' He made a simple mackerel kimbap with steamed rice, seaweed, and mackerel, and Jooheon proudly remarked, 'This is the best. We should sell it here.' The owner was also impressed after tasting it and said, 'I won't charge for the kebab.'
The three people dressed in suits and headed somewhere. It was a restaurant known only for VIPs, and it was an 80-year-old establishment. The owner came out to warmly welcome them at the entrance, providing them with a proper state guest treatment. The owner specially offered to show the kitchen for Lee Yeon-bok. At the back of the kitchen was a secretive space like a vault. It was a refrigerator for aging high-quality meats. They purchase whole lambs and age them in portions.
The three finally had tasting time. Everyone praised the amazing appetizers and the melt-in-your-mouth flavor of the lamb.
