On the 9th, the new TV Chosun entertainment show 'Our baby is born' (abbreviated as Uag) featured 'Sunny Duo' Park Soo-hong and Yang Se-hyung on their journey to celebrate with all their hearts the moment a baby was born. Having been a father for 8 months, 'daughter fool' Park Soo-hong fully immersed himself in the childbirth process, showcasing exceptional empathy.
The first baby of 'Our baby is born' was born through 'home birth.' In the early morning, the production team suddenly called Park Soo-hong, informing him, 'The baby is coming now.' With the delivery occurring 6 days earlier than the due date, both Park Soo-hong and the production team rushed anxiously to the delivery site. Upon arriving at an APT. complex, Park Soo-hong wondered, 'If a baby is being born, why did you call me here instead of going to the hospital?' The home he entered was where the mother-to-be, Lee Ji-hyang, was preparing for childbirth with her husband, Kwon Woo-chan, along with their first and second children waiting for the baby's arrival. Surprised by the unusual sight, Park Soo-hong exclaimed, 'What is this? Can we even do this?'
Accompanied by the midwife's assistant, Lee Ji-hyang held her husband's hand and gave birth through water delivery. Witnessing the vivid scene of the baby being born in the water, Park Soo-hong gasped in shock and exclaimed, 'Ah!' When the healthy baby was born, the entire family joyfully sang a birthday song to welcome the new arrival. Park Soo-hong, who shared in the joy of the moment, remarked, 'What kind of broadcast is this? I was in tears. I was invited to the happiest festival in this family's life.'
Just 40 minutes after giving birth, Lee Ji-hyang walked out with a remarkably calm demeanor. Park Soo-hong, who had a daughter, Jae-i, through a cesarean section, expressed amazement, saying, 'I wish our Da-ye would be born like this, but my wife was hospitalized for over a week. It's incredible that she's walking right away.' Lee Ji-hyang shared, 'The moment the baby is born and is placed in your arms, it gives a fluffy feeling that brings true happiness,' conveying an unimaginable sense of joy.
The second birth belonged to 'archery queen' Ki Bo-bae and her husband, Sung Min-soo. Ki Bo-bae used an oxytocin drip, and despite a significant amount of time passing, the baby was not descending, indicating potential complications. During the internal examination, the amniotic fluid ruptured, and contractions began, indicating that delivery was approaching. However, the baby's position was not properly aligned, preventing delivery, forcing them to wait. Consulting obstetrician Kim Ji-yeon explained, 'When the baby is born, it faces the ground. It must lift its head to be born. If the baby is facing upward, the shape of the mother's pelvis and the baby's neck do not align, which could damage the baby's jawbone,' emphasizing the importance of the baby's positioning during delivery.
As contractions became increasingly intense, Ki Bo-bae endured the pain while taking deep breaths, aware that pushing could harm the baby. With delivery imminent, her husband, Sung Min-soo, came to her side to support her head. He expressed his feelings of helplessness, stating, 'As my wife was trembling, I felt totally powerless not being able to help her;' showing his apology to Ki Bo-bae, who had to bear all the pain alone. After the strenuous delivery, Ki Bo-bae cradled her newborn, saying, 'So beautiful. I missed you. You worked hard.'
The scene where Ki Bo-bae and Sung Min-soo, now parents of two children, greeted their baby, saying, 'Let's be happy together. Congratulations on coming into the world,' was heartwarming.
