Actress Han So-hee is expected to challenge the role of a perfectionist CEO in her 30s in the Korean remake of 'The Intern.'
According to OSEN reports on 9th, Han So-hee has been named as a candidate for the lead role in the Korean remake of the popular Hollywood film 'The Intern.' The character offered is Jules, played by Anne Hathaway in the original, a charismatic female CEO who achieved success at a young age.
Jules is a figure who built a company with 220 employees within a year and a half of founding. She is portrayed as a passionate leader with a perfect sense of fashion that fits the occasion, thorough self-management, and an eagerness to directly interact with customers. Expectations rise for a new Jules that surpasses the original, as Han So-hee's unique refined visuals meet her stable acting skills cultivated through dramas and films.
In particular, actor Choi Min-sik is being considered for the role of intern Ben, raising anticipation for a generational chemistry. Last year, the production company, Anthology Studio, noted that "currently, we are in the screenplay development stage with Warner Brothers, and no actor has been confirmed for the cast," but if the combination of Choi Min-sik and Han So-hee comes to fruition, attention is focused on whether another box office myth will be born.
The original 'The Intern,' released in 2015, starred Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, depicting warm emotions and intergenerational friendships, receiving great love both domestically and internationally.
There is already a focus from movie fans on whether Han So-hee can transform into a Korean version of the 'perfect CEO' that surpasses Anne Hathaway's image and what new emotions she will create alongside Choi Min-sik.
