Detectives Kim Deok-won and Kang Yun-seok, who conducted legendary investigations against organized crime nationwide, will appear in "Hyung, Sudah" and unveil hidden investigative stories for the first time.
The sixth episode of the original web variety show "Hyung, Sudah," which will be released on the 9th, will feature the two veteran detectives, known as "legends of the Gwangsu Unit," sharing vivid investigative episodes from their investigations against gangsters to a case involving the illegal export of stolen vehicles solved during their tenure in the serious crimes unit.
The two have maintained a strong friendship, having formed a powerful duo while working together in the violent crimes division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in the early 2000s, continuing to communicate two to three times a week. In the broadcast, even Professor Kwon Il-yong reacted with jealousy, stating that their "lovebird-like" intimate relationship is "strange," eliciting laughter.
Detective Kim Deok-won has previously appeared three times in seasons 3 and 4 of "Brave Detectives," leaving a strong impression. After the broadcast, he candidly noted, "I also received a lot of criticism," which piqued curiosity. He also expressed enthusiasm for appearing on other programs, humorously showcasing his side as a "charismatic detective."
Above all, Detective Kim Deok-won, who shyly shared an anecdote about being mistaken for a thug due to his strong appearance, revealed the reality of gangster investigations, actual power struggles between organizations, and the hidden aspects of the investigative process with Detective Kang Yun-seok. He notably stated that there is an important criterion for judging gangsters during the investigative process, which heightens interest.
Alongside this, the two detectives will unveil the hidden stories behind investigations they conducted into international smuggling cases of high-end vehicle theft organizations and undercover operations of counterfeit drug manufacturing factories during their tenure in the serious crimes unit. From real-life accounts of going abroad at their own expense to meet the mastermind in China, to an unbelievable story about lying in wait in the mountains with his elementary school son, the behind-the-scenes tales of these investigations will be revealed.
Meanwhile, "Hyung, Sudah," the first digital spinoff of "Brave Detectives," will be exclusively available on the OTT platform Wavve every Friday at 5 p.m., with free viewing available on the E Channel's YouTube channel at 7 p.m. on Fridays.
