Actor Jang Hee-jin from 'Exclusive World' missed her late aunt Choi Eun-hee.
On the 8th, the MBN program 'Exclusive World' featured the life of Jang Hee-jin, who became an actress following her late aunt Choi Eun-hee.
In a deep mountain, there was a man who awakened the morning sunlight with his slender figure. The identity of the young man, whose singing awakened the silent wilderness while he was singing with legs stretched out, was none other than ballet trot singer Jeong Min-chan. Jeong Min-chan said, "I am currently practicing vocalization," smiling cheerfully.
His nickname, loved as a pioneer of the genre that combines ballet and trot, was 'Trot Terious.' Jeong Min-chan said, "Three years ago, after participating in a competition and working hard for about a year, my activities stopped. Things are not good right now," he shared about his situation calmly.
He was not one to complain. When local events were scheduled, he gave his all there, and he was unrelenting, also providing ballet lessons for the past six months utilizing his major.
Having been an elite from the National Ballet Company, when he decided to leave the company for the path of trot, his parents urged him not to. Jeong Min-chan said, "When I said I was leaving the National Ballet Company to become a trot singer, my parents asked why I was quitting. I loved ballet, so I wanted to make it popular and also wanted to sing my favorite songs," sharing his efforts.
Jeong Min-chan said, "As a ballet major, I am doing broadcasts and events, but I also have to make a living, so I came to give ballet lessons," encouraging the adult class students. While also preparing for a path as a ballet educator, Jeong Min-chan did not give up on his dream of being a trot singer.
Jeong Min-chan said, "I firmly believe that if I work hard, my mother and father will be able to gather again. I will work hard in both trot and ballet," he pledged to fulfill his dream.
Jang Hee-jin wanted to follow in her aunt's footsteps as an actress, but she ended up walking the path of a teacher due to her aunt's suggestion. However, after her aunt was abducted, she took over the theater company her aunt was in charge of and thus began her journey as a specialized historical drama actress.
Jang Hee-jin said, "Before my aunt was abducted, she lived as a school principal and I lived as a school teacher, so we met every day and went hiking every weekend," adding, "After my aunt disappeared, I took over the duties of the theater company, which she represented. I paid the monthly office rent myself."
The late director Shin Sang-ok and late actress Choi Eun-hee, who were unable to return to South Korea for a total of over 20 years due to the abduction incident in 1978.
In this regard, niece Jang Hee-jin and friend voice actor Go Eun-jung felt deep remorse.
Voice actor Go Eun-jung stated, "I cried a lot when I returned along with the late Choi Eun-hee. I remember crying uncontrollably, asking what I did wrong, as the intelligence department clashed with me, preventing me from coming back to South Korea, and that made me cry a lot," sharing her friend's sorrow. They stated, "Rumors circulated late. I heard them even after entering a nursing home. Nevertheless, I think she went on with dignity, not succumbing to pressure, using her own money to support people."
