Comedian Jeong Ju-ri, who has five sons, confessed about the hardships she faced during her pregnancy.
On the 8th, a video titled "Four married comedians thrilling 49+ talk (Kim Mi-ryeo, Shim Jin-hwa, Jeong Ju-ri)" was released on Lee Ji-hye's YouTube channel "Mibji-an-eun Gwanjong Eonni."
In the video, Lee Ji-hye asked Jeong Ju-ri about her highest and lowest income. Jeong Ju-ri replied, "The lowest was 0 won," adding, "There was a time when my income was really 0 won during my pregnancy. Since my previous income was high, my national pension and health insurance premiums actually increased."
She continued, "The insurance premiums showed the situation from two years ago, but now I have no income, so I called (the health insurance corporation) and cried. I said, 'I have no income right now. I have no money in my account.' Thankfully, I could temporarily suspend it for six months and paid it all at once later. There was no leniency for reductions or anything like that."
In response, Lee Ji-hye empathized, saying, "That's right. I also went through something similar during my 'Shop' days." Jeong Ju-ri added, "Since I have no income, there's nothing I can do."
Meanwhile, Jeong Ju-ri debuted as a comedian in 2005 through the SBS 8th open recruitment. She became known through "People Seeking Laughter" and actively worked until she married a construction worker, who is one year younger, in 2015, and had her first son that same year. She later gave birth to her second son in 2017, her third son in 2019, her fourth son in 2022, and became a mother of five brothers after giving birth to her fifth son last December.
