Broadcaster Park Soo-hong announced his full-fledged return through the new TV CHOSUN entertainment program 'Our Baby Has Been Born.' The new stage he chose after leaving 'Dongchimi' is the country's first variety show broadcasting childbirth, and Park Soo-hong gained a new descriptor, 'fairy of smooth childbirth,' through this program.
'Our Baby Has Been Born,' which is set to premiere on the 9th, is a childbirth reality show that celebrates and supports the moment of life's birth. Park Soo-hong, who personally experienced the birth of his daughter, Jae-i, said this program is a time to share precious moments in life, beyond just entertainment.
Regarding his decision to participate, Park Soo-hong noted, "Childbirth is both a blessing and a moment of crisis. When the production team said it was a program that congratulates the birth of a baby and creates moments that become lifelong memories for parents, I felt their sincerity and decided to participate."
Especially about choosing this program as his first step after leaving 'Dongchimi,' Park Soo-hong said, "In this day and age, men also need to understand and learn about childbirth and parenting. Personally, having experienced my wife's childbirth, I felt many things I didn't know; I found it very meaningful to convey this message as a male MC."
In the program, Park Soo-hong presents himself as 'a midwife who provides comfort to mothers' and plays the role of the 'fairy of smooth childbirth.' He said, "Oddly enough, every time I arrive at the filming location, a baby has been born. I feel that my experience of having a child through in vitro fertilization conveys good energy to parents present at the childbirth scene," while smiling.
Furthermore, Park Soo-hong stated, "The moment a baby is born is always miraculous and indescribably mysterious. It seems like a divine realm! Each life is noble, and these moments of birth have a significant reason, making them as precious as when my child was born. Therefore, I find myself empathizing, rejoicing, and crying without knowing it. Especially in the case of home births, experiencing such impact was a first. I couldn't believe it was actually possible! I screamed. The moment of birth brought tears, thinking of my daughter Jae-i. And I needed to stay alert because I had to help the mother and baby next to me."
Finally, Park Soo-hong emphasized, "'Our Baby Has Been Born' is a program that is not scripted or directed but real in itself. There will be more dramatic moments of tears and joy than in a drama," and he urged, "Please celebrate and support the miraculous moment of childbirth together."
Meanwhile, 'Our Baby Has Been Born' will premiere on Friday night at 10 p.m. on TV CHOSUN, featuring Park Soo-hong together with aspiring dad Yang Se-hyung as MC.
