Fan of Jannabi, Lee Je-hoon, appeared on 'Noon with Juhyun-young' with 'Big Deal'.
On the afternoon of the 9th, actor Lee Je-hoon appeared as a guest on SBS Power FM's 'Noon with Juhyun-young', which was conducted live. He noted, "Pyo Ye-jin is the guest. Juhyun-young is the host, so I came. From now on, if Judy calls me, I will come without hesitation. If I have the chance to be a special DJ, I will come again," greeting cheerfully.
He continued, "The release date of the movie 'Big Deal' has been changed. It has been moved to Friday, May 30. I wanted to meet the audience a little sooner, so I moved it up. The story is based on a true story. We really produced 100,000 bottles of soju. It's just like a new product," as he shook the bottle of soju he brought, heightening the anticipation of the radio listeners.
The movie 'Big Deal' (distributed by SHOWBOX, produced by The Lamp) features Lee Je-hoon and Yoo Hae-jin, depicting a story where financial director Jong-rok (played by Yoo Hae-jin), whose life revolves around a soju company, confronts In-beom (played by Lee Je-hoon), an employee of a global investment company that pursues only revenue, over the fate of soju for the Korean people during the 1997 IMF financial crisis.
Lee Je-hoon explained, "I had a wish to meet senior Yoo Hae-jin, and this time, I met him. It was so enjoyable and felt like a dream. You can see the bromance and conflict between Yoo Hae-jin at the same time. Senior Yoo Hae-jin's characters are usually very human, warm, and friendly, and it is the same in this work. His struggle to save the company seems to represent the head of a family in Korea."
He added, "I understand that Yoo Hae-jin's screen debut was in 'The Man with Four Wives.' There are a lot of characters, but there was one person who particularly stood out. It seems so cool to see him continue to establish a presence in the Korean film industry. Would the movie be explained without the actor Yoo Hae-jin in Korea? A great actor," he showered praise.
Currently, Lee Je-hoon is filming 'Taxi Driver 3' and 'Signal 2' simultaneously. He said, "My health is okay. I pass out as soon as I lie down. I am sleeping well. I used to stay up all night when I was overwhelmed, but now it is not like that. I try to enjoy the moment. I'm working hard for the complete version of myself and my goals. Rather than having vague goals, I am doing my best to not have regrets by the end of it," he smiled brightly.
On this day, Lee Je-hoon personally requested Jannabi's new song 'Birdman.' He remarked, "The new Jannabi album has come out, and I have been listening to all the tracks. This time, while listening to their music, I felt they really love music. I also continue to express my love for movies. My feelings now are not much different from those in my 2015 interview. I am grateful," he smiled.
Nine years ago, Lee Je-hoon said, "I want to be an actor who influences Korean culture and create good works." He admitted, "I always had that mindset, but to express it in an interview nine years ago, I feel a bit embarrassed when I think about whether I am doing that now. I should work harder. Let's not forget my past self who wanted to act; let's not forget my original intention," he said honestly.
In conclusion, he revealed, "'Big Deal' is a work that talks about those who have experienced this era, so it will be a moment that has an impact. It is a work that I love and cherish," adding, "I feel like I am aging together with the fans as they watch me grow older. Many artists will emerge, and I want to be an actor who contributes to them."
