KCM recalled his first meeting with his wife on 'When Life Gives You Tangerines'.
On the broadcast of MBC entertainment show 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' on the 7th, Song Il-gook, Oh Min-ae, Jung Si-ah, and KCM appeared as part of a Parents' Day special.
That day, KCM recalled his first meeting with his wife, saying, "Looking back now, it seems like it was fate. My wife was a friend who was modeling in Japan. She was born in Korea and then moved to Japan. (She) kept coming back and forth to settle in Korea. I was looking for an agency."
He continued, "She is a cousin of my friend. Since I was working, I asked if there were any good companies to introduce me to, so we met. It was a meal, and she was so beautiful that I fell in love at first sight. I subconsciously thought, 'I have to marry her.'"
Since their first meeting, KCM met her a few times through a friend. He said, "At that time, my wife said her ideal type was Kim Jong-kook. That part is the highlight. My mother saw me on 'Star Golden Bell' and said, 'If you're going to marry, you should marry a guy like the diligent KCM.' I felt something at that time. 'We were destined to meet.' That was the start of our first meeting," adding that they met for over 10 years before getting married.
Since they have not held a wedding yet, KCM mentioned that he only had a covenant ceremony with his wife and family, saying, "I am currently planning it. I plan to have the wedding next year. It will be small, and I will invite acquaintances."
Meanwhile, KCM became a legal couple by registering his marriage to a non-celebrity who is 9 years younger on April 7, 2021, after dating for about 10 years. The following year, he held a covenant ceremony attended only by close family and friends. Recently, he publicly disclosed the existence of his two daughters, aged 14 and 4, for the first time, candidly sharing the responsibility he felt in protecting his family despite the difficulties they faced economically.
