Comedian Shim Jin-hwa shared her experience of developing trauma from uncomfortable physical contact.
On the 8th, a video titled "Four Married Comedians Grabbing Lee Ji-hye; A Dazzling 19+ Talk (Extreme Level)" was uploaded on the 'Not Annoying Attention-Seeker Sister' channel.
On that day, Lee Ji-hye met with comedians Kim Mi-ryeo, Shim Jin-hwa, Jeong Joo-ri, and Lee Kyung-boon to talk. He asked, "There must be a lot of difficulties having such a job," and Lee Kyung-boon responded, "It seems to be the same for both comedians and ordinary celebrities. People tend to be rude. Because they are funny people on TV, they might appear as easy targets. So, even older people poke at us and young people do the same."
Shim Jin-hwa captured attention when she shared, "Moms touch me." He stated, "If they met me, they should say, 'Oh, hello, Shim Jin-hwa! I really like you,' but instead, they go, 'Oh, Shim Jin-hwa~' and react strongly."
In response, Jeong Joo-ri said, "Jin-hwa looks like someone people want to touch," and Lee Ji-hye added, "That's right. She's all bubbly and cute because she is fair-skinned."
Shim Jin-hwa recalled, "Because moms have touched me so much, I have lost earrings before. It can be quite tough at those times," and she remembered, "Once, I was coming out of a restroom at a rest area, and suddenly, there were two tour buses right in front of me, with dozens of older women coming toward me. Suddenly, I couldn't breathe. It was so scary. It came out of nowhere."
Lee Ji-hye expressed concern, saying, "It sounds like trauma from the past," and Shim Jin-hwa revealed, "That's because I experienced something so frightening just that one time. So, I quickly turned around and left."
Lee Ji-hye empathized, saying, "That would cause trauma," and Shim Jin-hwa shared, "There is somewhat of that. I used to really like public bathhouses, but after being watched and hearing comments like, 'Oh, you haven't gained weight,' I haven't been to a public bathhouse since."
