Song Il-gook expressed his disappointment about the triplets hitting puberty.
On the broadcast of MBC entertainment show 'Radio Star' on the 7th, which featured the special Parents' Day segment titled 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' Song Il-gook, Oh Min-ae, Jung Si-ah, and KCM appeared, where Song Il-gook shared updates about the triplets.
After a long time away from 'Radio Star,' Song Il-gook mentioned that the triplets have already entered the first grade of middle school, referring to Daehan, Minguk, and Manse. He said, 'Daehan is 180cm, Minguk is 181cm, and Manse is 176cm. However, Manse weighs more. Manse's physique is similar to mine.'
The triplets still have a good appetite. Song Il-gook stated, 'My wife recently took them to a fancy sushi restaurant for her birthday. The kids were amazed, saying, 'Is there such food in the world?' Now, they don't want to go to the sushi place they used to love.' He continued, 'One of them can eat a whole pizza. One pot of rice, about 10kg, is just one meal. Milk doesn't last for a few days. Usually, I worry that it might spoil if I buy a pack, but that's not a problem.'
Additionally, Song Il-gook commented on the triplets becoming middle schoolers, saying, 'They are different kids now. When I talk about them on broadcasts, it creates a stir among their friends. They say not to mention it. Thankfully, Manse is the most proactive among them.'
Above all, Song Il-gook attracted attention by revealing that he is still devoted to the children. He mentioned, 'My wife is working in Suncheon,' and said he is solely taking care of them during the week. After hearing this, Kim Gu-ra laughed, saying, 'That must be tough for you, In-guk,' while Oh Min-ae added, 'I can see the weariness in your eyes.'
Then, Song Il-gook remarked, 'Since the three of them have very different personalities, Manse gets along well. The second one needs a delicate approach. They argue every day,' sighing deeply when mentioning the eldest, Daehan, which drew laughter.
He added, 'During elementary school, I let them be. Now that they're middle schoolers, my wife changed the rules saying they need to study. The environment has changed too much, creating a lot of stress. But the one they clash with most is me. They can't talk to their mother.'
Throughout the broadcast, whenever asked about the triplets, Song Il-gook seemed to hide his feelings and held back laughter. Speaking about how the triplets have entered puberty, he said, 'Familiar kids have left and unknown ones have come into the house,' pausing to think when asked how they have come. Then, Song Il-gook revealed, 'I have 2.5 million followers. That's not a small number. But I can't post even one proper picture.' To this, Yoo Se-yoon, who has teenagers, sympathized, saying, 'I haven't been able to post anything since they entered middle school either.'
The triplets are becoming more distinct as they grow older. When asked how they are different, Song Il-gook pondered and said, 'Just yesterday, I was about to sleep, but when I told them to stop looking at their phone, they glared at me and murmured, 'Aah.' I express myself quite a lot, but Manse at least tends to respond a bit more,' he lamented.
The MCs asked, 'Do they talk to their mother like that?' Song Il-gook replied, 'Not at all. Since mom is a judge, she holds a lot of authority in her words. So the kids release all their stress on me,' letting out another deep sigh. He continued, 'Suddenly, they started being nice to their mother. I've begun calling her out of the blue, thinking, 'She must have experienced this.'
