The remake brand 'HIGHKOLOR', which sings emotions again, is releasing the remake song for its second project.
The song being revived in Vol.2 is Solid's representative track 'You're My First and Last', released in 1996. This song is considered a turning point for Korean-style R&B ballads, captivating numerous listeners with its sophisticated arrangement, emotional melody, and deep vocals. It is still regarded as a masterpiece of Korean R&B and continues to be loved.
This remake goes beyond a simple re-recording. Jung Jae-yoon, the original composer and member of Solid, participated in the arrangement, working to redesign the emotions of that era. Jung Jae-yoon, currently an active hit producer in the United States and China, readily accepted this project, showing deep affection and commitment to the song.
'HIGHKOLOR' stated, "Jung Jae-yoon's participation is significant not just as a simple remake, but as a restoration of emotions in collaboration with the original creator," adding, "Music reborn from the fingertips of the original creator will convey a more authentic resonance to listeners."
'HIGHKOLOR' is a remake project that adds the current voice to beloved classics buried by time under the slogan 'Sing again, become vivid again.' The first remake, Thama's 'Nevertheless', drew high resonance from K-pop fans immediately after its release, as it presented "a breakup heard again in today's words" and "an emotional line different from the original." 'You're My First and Last' from HIGHKOLOR Vol.2 will be released on the 18th, with the vocalist to be announced later.
