The group E'LAST's new album finally unveils.
E'LAST will release their fifth mini album 'Versus' today (7th) at 6 p.m. through various online music sites, along with the music video for the title track 'CRAZY TRAIN'.
'Versus' conveys the meaning of 'VS,' which is used in competitive situations, and captures the process of finding and developing the true 'me' hidden within by engaging in friendly competition among the members. They plan to showcase music and performances of even higher quality than before.
This new album includes a total of five tracks, including the title track 'CRAZY TRAIN,' 'GOTHAM,' 'EMERGENCY,' 'DRIVE,' and 'MISERY.' Hitmaker composer and producer Ryan Jeon participated, and members ONEJOON and Wonhyeok contributed lyrics to the track 'EMERGENCY,' adding E'LAST's unique musical color.
The title track 'CRAZY TRAIN' is an impressive song featuring funky guitar sounds and dazzling bass sounds. The fast-paced, exciting rhythm and the vibrant vocal harmony of E'LAST members enhance the song's allure.
E'LAST showcased their strong presence last year with the release of their first full album 'Everlasting,' concluding the group's symbolism and worldview narrative. Expectations are high for what new journey they will portray this time.

Q. You've returned with mini album 5 'Versus' after a year. How do you feel about the comeback?
Wonhyeok: I'm really happy to show the new album to the E-Ling (fandom name). It's a song where we can showcase our vocals more than the previous title track, so I'm looking forward to this activity even more.
Lano: I'm thrilled to show a new side to the E-Lings, who have been eagerly waiting for E'LAST's comeback. I want to show as much as we've prepared.
Q. What kind of song is the title track 'CRAZY TRAIN'?
Lano: It's a song where you can enjoy E'LAST's new charm along with energetic performances and vocals.
ONEJOON: Just like the word 'CRAZY' in the title, this song highlights E'LAST's explosive charm and strengths. I hope many people will enjoy it as it includes vocals, rap, and dance.
Q. The previously released concept photos and films have been a hot topic. What charm did you want to convey through them?
Lano: They are divided into two versions, INSIDE and OUTSIDE, showing refreshing and dark appearances, and I wanted to confidently showcase that E'LAST can handle any look well.
Yejun: I wanted to show various charms, including the cool image that E'LAST often shows, as well as lively and cute aspects in this album.
Q. Is there a specific term or reaction you hope to gain from the new album 'Versus'?
ONEJOON: Just like the title track's name 'CRAZY TRAIN', I want to have the term 'crazy doll'. I believe E'LAST possesses an incredibly great charm.
Lomin: I want to gain the term 'bulldozer doll.' I think E'LAST can be compared to the image of running relentlessly.
Q. I'm curious about the story you wanted to tell through this album.
Yejun: Even without a flashy or diverse worldview, we have encapsulated our sincere ambition to move forward towards our true goals. It would be great if you could all powerfully drive along the path ahead of us.
Lomin: I want to express E'LAST, fueled by the love from the E-Lings, running without rest like a crazy train and not giving up.
Q. What are the emotional points unique to the title track 'CRAZY TRAIN'?
ONEJOON: The refreshing feeling that makes you feel excited just by listening is the point.
Baekgyeol: You will see a completely different, refreshing and hip performance and live show compared to the previous E'LAST.
Q. When you think of E'LAST, the word 'performance' comes to mind first. What are the characteristics of this choreography?
Lomin: The song's atmosphere evokes images of western cowboys, so the choreography features many gun-shaped movements. A highlight is when performers take gun-shooting poses during the chorus.
Yejun: The dynamic performance is a characteristic. We structured the choreography to depict a running train combined with the image of cowboys, including gun shapes, reloading, and blowing wind into the barrel. We plan to show a direct visual to the viewers.
Q. I'm also drawn to the various included tracks. Besides the title track, which song or lyrics are you most attached to?
Baekgyeol: I'm most attached to 'GOTHAM.' I think it shows that E'LAST can master a hip song like this for the first time.
ONEJOON: I'm very attached to the included track 'EMERGENCY,' in which I participated in the lyrics. I think it's a song with a strong beat and various charms.
Q. What differentiates it from previous albums?
Yejun: Since it's a song that candidly reflects our story, we plan to showcase a different energy than before.
Q. The music video is also very impressive. Was there a special episode during the filming of the music video?
Baekgyeol: This music video has a bright concept, different from E'LAST's unique dark image, and I think we filmed it more comfortably and enjoyably than before, so it will be more memorable.
Lano: Since we filmed a music video with a new concept, we captured scenes we hadn't done before. For example, I and Hyuk acted out a fighting game scene by doing kicks and special moves like in Tekken, which I remember vividly.
ONEJOON: I think filming while buried among many teddy bears is the most memorable. It was one of my bucket list items, and I'm glad I got to do it this time.
Q. Please say a few words to the E-Lings who have been waiting for your comeback and always supporting you.
Wonhyeok: Thank you so much for waiting, Rings! Since this is our comeback after a year, we will create many good memories together! Let's ride the 'CRAZY TRAIN' together!
