On 'Radio Star,' Song Il-kook reveals the story of how he shed tears at the changed appearance of the triplets 'Daehan-Minguk-Manse' as they enter puberty.
The MBC 'Radio Star' episode airing today (7th) at 10:30 p.m. is produced by Kang Young-sun and directed by Kim Myung-yeob, Hwang Yun-sang, and Byeon Da-hee, featuring actor Song Il-kook, actress Oh Min-ae, broadcaster Jung Si-ah, and singer KCM in a special for Parents' Day titled 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.'
In a video released ahead of the broadcast, Song Il-kook shares, "It seems like the triplets have hit puberty. The children I knew are gone, and unfamiliar kids have taken their place," revealing the changes in his parenting of the triplets. As everyone is curious about how the triplets hit puberty, Song Il-kook hesitates to speak, buffering, and expresses concern about their reaction, saying, "If I say the wrong thing...".
Then, Song Il-kook reenacts the appearance of the 'pubescent triplets,' capturing attention. After showing the triplets giving him intense glares when he tells them to stop using their phones because it is time for bed, and their attempts to avoid his kisses, Kim Gu-ra shouts, "Don't! Kisses are for your wife!" causing the studio to burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, Song Il-kook notes, "I've started treating my mother better since experiencing the triplets' puberty," adding, "I even make phone calls first now." In response, Jang Doyoun says, "It seems like you've learned a lot thanks to the kids," eliciting laughter.
While listening to the story of the pubescent triplets, Jung Si-ah shares her experience of when her son, who was in 7th grade, ignored her on the street and went home crying. Song Il-kook empathizes, saying, "I felt the same way..." When Jung Si-ah advises, "They will return to their original selves in 8th and 9th grades. Trust me," and Song Il-kook expresses doubt, Jang Doyoun jokes, "Should we connect you with Dr. Oh Eun-young?" making the studio burst into laughter.
