Broadcaster Kim So-young and Oh Sang-jin shared their recent journey to Beijing, China, with their 7-year-old daughter, revealing that it was not an easy experience.
Kim So-young recently said, "I had been to Shanghai and Hong Kong, thinking it wouldn't be much different, but I was quite surprised by Beijing on the first day. This is the mainland." She noted, "The Beijing trip, which we impulsively took because there were available tickets during the holiday, has been of unprecedented difficulty."
She stated, "Credit cards hardly work here, and most orders and payments are processed through QR codes, but I was flustered because the app wouldn't work." She continued, "Alipay kept failing due to an unknown error, and it took 20 minutes to order just one drink. Thankfully, a Korean person helped, so I barely managed to place the order," recalling the chaotic first day.
In particular, Kim So-young added, "Returning to the hotel, I couldn't access Instagram, Kakao, or Google using Wi-Fi," and she expressed her mixed feelings by saying, "My work... I hope we can get through this okay?"
Meanwhile, Kim So-young and Oh Sang-jin developed a romantic relationship from being senior and junior colleagues at MBC and dated for two years before getting married in April 2017. Additionally, Kim So-young left MBC in 2017 and has been working as a freelance broadcaster while running various businesses, including a bookstore and a curation shop.
