NCT Chenle (affiliated with SME) will release a special album in collaboration with Tencent Music Entertainment (hereinafter TME).
NCT Chenle's Chinese special album 'Chen (/Lucid)' is a project co-created with TME, and it will be released on May 5 at 12:22 p.m. (KST) on Chinese music platforms such as QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kwar Music, and Bodien Music.
In particular, this album consists of a total of three Chinese songs, including the title track 'Chen (/Lucid),' which sings about the brilliant moments faced after overcoming loneliness, with strings bursting forth as if cutting through the silence, harmonizing with Chenle's poignant high notes to convey deep resonance.
Additionally, 'Rugyo (/Tear Bridge)' is a remake of the song of the same name released as an OST for the 2003 drama 'Sang Gyeon Ni,' where lonely guitar sounds flowing over strings and piano melodies heighten the emotions. Given that it is the first remake in 22 years, Chenle's delicate interpretation and soft, restrained expressiveness intensify the song's lingering impact.
Another track, 'Cosmic Joke (feat. Zhu Bi Chang) (宇宙的笑),' captures the realization of moments when one had to let go of dreams, embodying the inner dialogue completed as determination for ideals clashes with the coldness of reality. Chenle and Zhu Bi Chang, who have a longstanding connection from their time together on a Chinese broadcast, reunite in this song, adding even more special emotions.
Also, on May 5 at 12:22 p.m. (KST), the music video for the title track 'Chen (/Lucid)' will be available on YouTube channels such as NCT and NCT DREAM.
