Park Seo-jin boasted about the close friendship with Jin Hae-sung.
In the episode aired on the 3rd, KBS2TV's variety show 'The Living Men Season 2' featured Park Seo-jin inviting his close friend Jin Hae-sung to his home to reminisce about their early days.
On that day, Park Seo-jin invited his long-time close friend Jin Hae-sung, whom he has known for 14 years, to his home. He mentioned about Jin Hae-sung, saying, "We are like brothers, having known each other for 14 years, and there is no awkwardness; he was the one who approached me first," noting, "We even lived together."
Jin Hae-sung also stated, "If we are to talk about our friendship, I would overwhelmingly be number one, wouldn't I?" Upon hearing this, Ji Sang-ryeol, feeling a bit jealous, asked, "Is it Jin Hae-sung or me?" to which Park Seo-jin replied, "The sun and moon rise at the same time; the sun is Ji Sang-ryeol, and the moon is Jin Hae-sung."
Park Seo-jin suggested Jin Hae-sung lie down on the living room floor, and the two of them stretched out their legs and lay down, recalling the times they lived together.
Park Seo-jin said, "Back when I lived with my brother, the house was about 14 pyeong. It wasn't large enough for us to lie down completely. Now, even if we lie down, there's space left, so it feels nostalgic." Jin Hae-sung responded, "When I lay in the living room, I felt overwhelmed. It reminded me of the tough times with Seo-jin," adding, "I'm so happy for your success, Seo-jin. You've really worked hard."
Eun Ji-won remarked, "I'm glad both of you are doing well. Otherwise, it would inevitably become awkward," and Park Seo-jin agreed, stating, "That's why I feel like we're strengthening our bond even more now and being each other's support during difficult times."
The two met for the first time at a songwriter's office in 2011. Jin Hae-sung revealed, "At that time, we were both hurt a lot," and Park Seo-jin added, "That's why you guys aren't rising. It's because you are unable to play outside the net."
Baek Ji-young asked, "Who said that?" and Park Seo-jin shared, "Back then, there weren't many young people in the trot industry, and there was a lot of lecturing. They said, 'Will you succeed in singing?' and 'Just give up.' They should have encouraged us, but they didn't." Baek Ji-young expressed her anger at this, saying, "Did the adults really say such things?"
In the midst of this, Jin Hae-sung expressed gratitude, recalling that Park Seo-jin was the one who first reached out and suggested that they live together. Park Seo-jin explained that he proposed living together because the ceiling of Jin Hae-sung's house was collapsing.
Meanwhile, Park Seo-jin, along with Jin Hae-sung and his younger sister Park Hyo-jung, went to meet Chef Seo Gye-sook. He said, "I haven't been able to serve my guests well in cooking, and since my mother's birthday is approaching, I want to learn," and the three of them showcased their cooking skills by learning to make Japchae and sweet and sour pork from Chef Seo Gye-sook.
Especially, Park Hyo-jung, who was searching for her dream, gained confidence after receiving compliments on her cooking from Chef Seo Gye-sook. Chef Seo Gye-sook stated, "Hyo-jung, your Chinese cooking is on point. Your knife skills are extraordinary already," adding, "When you do one, you do two or three, indicating that you seem to have a talent for cooking." In response, Park Hyo-jung said, "My mom taught me cooking since I was young. As I grew up, I began to develop an interest in cooking," mentioning her plans to pursue her dream in the culinary field, which received warm wishes from many.
