In this context, an incident occurred that forced the obstetrics department and the anesthesia, emergency medicine, and pediatrics departments, who usually bicker when they meet, to unite. An emergency mother in labor arrived when there were no personnel available to perform the surgery. To make matters worse, the mother was a foreigner who could not speak Korean or English, which made Oi-young even more anxious.
In response, anesthesiologist Ham Dong-ho (Kim Yi-jun), emergency physician Park Joon-seok (Seo Yi-seo), and pediatrician Park Mu-gang (Yoo Hyun-jong) quickly moved to support Oi-young, who was unexpectedly put in charge of her first surgery. With the encouragement of the three, Oi-young steadied her trembling heart and began the surgery, and just in time, Chief Gu Do-won (Jung Joon-won) arrived, adding to her reassurance.
Although it was the first surgery performed without professors, Oi-young and Gu Do-won successfully delivered the baby calmly. When the baby's heart rate did not return for some time, Park Mu-gang worked hard to revive the baby by rubbing its entire body, and amidst everyone's wishes, the baby let out a loud cry, bringing relief to all present.
