Former 'Heart Signal 3' participant Seominjae (currently Seo Eun-woo) drew attention again by announcing her pregnancy. She shared an ultrasound photo along with a warm picture with a man presumed to be her boyfriend on social media, but there were mixed reactions from some who questioned whether it was a congratulatory post or a revealing one.
Seo Eun-woo posted several couple selfies with a man appearing to be her partner, along with an ultrasound photo and the caption, "Congratulations on becoming a dad" on her personal social media on the 2nd.
The posted photos also revealed her boyfriend in military uniform, showing several images, including one where he is asleep in her arms. These scenes depict the couple's intimacy. Additionally, Seo Eun-woo noted, "My boyfriend was born in 1997 and is a member of the 20th batch."
However, the post included a tag to her boyfriend's social media account, which was soon deleted. This raised questions about why Seominjae tagged a deleted account. Some internet users expressed doubt, saying, "With all the details—face, age, and account revealed—it seemed more like an emotional revelation than a celebratory announcement," questioning whether it was indeed a congratulatory post. It gave the impression that there are complicated emotions entangled in what should be a simple 'celebratory announcement.'
Reactions from internet users to this kind of post were divided. While some commented, "Congratulations!" and "I hope you give birth to a healthy child," others expressed concern saying, "Isn't it too much personal information shared?" and "Revealing face, name, and school doesn't seem like a congratulatory purpose but more like a revelation, doesn't it?" and "It's hard to see this as just a pregnancy announcement."
Meanwhile, Seominjae was legally penalized for drug use with her then-boyfriend Nam Tae-hyun in 2022. At that time, she was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a 2-year probation and later changed her name to Seo Eun-woo, preparing for a comeback by sharing her sobriety experiences on a platform until recently.
Now, she is back in the center of controversy by simultaneously announcing both her pregnancy and her boyfriend. Currently, Seo Eun-woo is maintaining the related posts without deletion, and the boyfriend's side has not yet made a statement.
