In 'New Product Launch Restaurant', actress Jeon In-hwa revealed the story behind her relationship and marriage with her husband Yoo Dong-keun.
On the broadcast of KBS2 'New Product Launch Restaurant' on 2nd, Jeon In-hwa shared the story behind her romance and marriage with her husband Yoo Dong-keun.
Curious about the wedding story of Jeon In-hwa and Yoo Dong-keun, she shared, "That accident was the moment that made me decide to marry."
In the past, Yoo Dong-keun mentioned that he had a serious accident due to a collision with a drunk driving vehicle, revealing that he had undergone general anesthesia 20 times and that two ribs are still missing. Jeon In-hwa noted, "At that time, he was in his early 30s, and he lay in bed for more than a year. Even now, there are metal pins in his wrist, jaw, and legs," shocking everyone.
After the serious accident, Yoo Dong-keun even thought, "I should give up on marriage." However, Jeon In-hwa confessed, "On the contrary, I decided to marry because of that accident," surprising everyone. She recalled, "After a long rehabilitation, Yoo Dong-keun was able to joyfully share stories about the accident with his colleagues. Seeing him laugh off something that must have been so difficult for him made me tear up instead."
She continued, "I felt that I had to take responsibility for this person. I was impressed by his mental strength in living proudly despite enduring that pain," expressing profound respect and a sense of duty that transcended simple love.
Jeon In-hwa reflected, "I've never seen such a man. Without any thoughts, he looked like a man to me," adding that the start of their romance felt natural. "We practiced scripts together at home, acted, and dated, buying one refrigerator and one washing machine each day as we became a couple," her words illustrated that their relationship was genuinely built over time.
Starting as acting partners, the two ultimately became the first 'acting award couple' in South Korea and grew into lifelong partners who steadfastly support each other.
