The chef Yoon Nam-no of 'Jungle Bob 2 - Peru Bob, Caribbean Bob' showed a novice side as a variety show star while also demonstrating his professional cooking skills.
In the SBS variety show 'Jungle Bob 2 - Peru Bob, Caribbean Bob' aired on the 1st, Kim Ok-bin, Ryu Soo-young, Lee Joon, and Yoon Nam-no were depicted heading from Manohuan to Santo Domingo.
After finishing their last hunt in Manohuan, Lee Joon and Kim Ok-bin caught two lionfish and were delighted to accidentally witness two humpback whales. The appearance of the humpback whale, a guardian of the sea and a symbol of luck, was truly a Minister of nature itself.
DinDin said, "That picture must have been so beautiful. A mother and her baby together," while Jun Hyun-moo noted, "Didn't you see it with your own eyes?" Lee Joon expressed, "It was really closer than I thought," showing his satisfaction. Heo Young-ji remarked, "It must have been overwhelming to see it in person, even just watching a video is amazing," and asked for Kim Ok-bin's thoughts. Kim Ok-bin replied, "I really think I won't be able to forget that moment."
Later, they were able to meet Yoon Nam-no skillfully preparing the lionfish. Ryu Soo-young analyzed, "It looks like a bass. It has a lot of oil, and the broth comes out well. Carnivorous fish tend to have good broth." Yoon Nam-no agreed, saying, "The texture was much better than I expected. It was firm yet resilient."
Yoon Nam-no decided to fry the lionfish whole. After removing the poisonous spines, the golden-fried lionfish was enough to make one's mouth water. Kim Ok-bin commented, "The skin is really delicious," and Lee Joon expressed, "It's a taste I've never had before," showing his admiration.
Yoon Nam-no stated, "To be honest, the visual was something I didn't want to touch, but once I tried it, it was completely different. I want to touch other European fish as well." Kim Ok-bin praised Yoon Nam-no, saying, "And the expression he has when he is focused on cooking is unique. I thought we have to work hard to catch fish elsewhere too."
However, Yoon Nam-no's specialty was meat dishes. Santo Domingo was also known as the home of barbecue. Yoon Nam-no noted, "Meat is exciting. I became famous for meat. If you eat my meat dishes, Ryu Soo-young's eyes will be four times bigger."
Yoon Nam-no went to the market and picked out beef tongue, ribeye, and pork belly. He expressed surprise to those present, saying, "I think Lee Joon hasn't tried this before, and Koreans eat this a lot. Beef tongue is used in beef head soup," revealing his tongue dish.
Yoon Nam-no then showed his equipment after marinating the ribeye, which had been glazed with oil and salted, at low temperature for an hour before barbecuing. He said, "My girlfriends, check these out. These are my knives. I only brought 15%. I don't care about clothes or fashion. This is more important," while also stating, "Look at this knife. Doesn't it look like a nose? It's so sexy."
Meanwhile, while explaining the size of avocados in Santo Domingo, Yoon Nam-no expressed himself in a way that seemed to imply he was cursing with his hand. Ryu Soo-young calmly advised him, and Jun Hyun-moo firmly remarked, "You can't do that even on YouTube," revealing Yoon Nam-no's somewhat novice-like demeanor.
