Lee Bong-won reported on the opening status of his third Jjamppong restaurant.
On the 30th, a video titled "It's okay... No, it's not okay... It's okay... No, it's not okay..." was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Bongwonyhyung.'
In the released video, Lee Bong-won revealed the preparations for the opening of his third Jjamppong restaurant, following the first location in Cheonan and the second in Daejeon.
He noted, "There is a flavor of excitement that is different from usual," adding, "I'm not anxious. It's already spilled water, so what's the use of worrying?"
On the opening day, customers flocked in as business started. In particular, one customer asked, "Miss Park Mi-sun, how are you doing?" inquiring about his wife Park Mi-sun, who recently paused her activities due to health issues. In response, Lee Bong-won said, "She is probably doing well," bringing laughter.
Afterward, all the ingredients were depleted due to the surge in orders, concluding a successful first day of business. However, Lee Bong-won expressed, "I am proud," but noted, "We will really know if the business is doing well or not after two months."
Two months later, he returned to the third location, but the restaurant was quiet. With a somber expression, Lee Bong-won stated, "At the beginning of the opening, there is something called 'opening rush,' which brings people in line. Right now, the overall economy is in a recession, and the same goes for department stores and roadside shops. Since the consumption rate has slowed down, this is the current situation," he lamented.
Meanwhile, Lee Bong-won revealed through a broadcast that the first sales at Jjamppong's third location recorded approximately 5 million won in sales within a day.
