This summer, the 'one and only' two men, Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Je-hoon, star in the film 'Big Deal' (distributed by SHOWBOX, produced by The Lamp), which has revealed a still of their drinking scene.
The film 'Big Deal' is about Jong-rok, a financial director whose life revolves around a soju company, and In-beom, an employee of a global investment firm who is solely focused on results, as they confront the fate of soju for the people of South Korea during the 1997 IMF financial crisis.
The first meeting between the national actor Yoo Hae-jin, who captivates South Korean audiences with his unique roles across various genres, and the exemplary actor Lee Je-hoon, who shows his multifaceted charm taking on leading roles in films and dramas as well as directing short films, is garnering attention. Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Je-hoon meet in the film 'Big Deal' as Yoo Jong-rok, the financial director of KUKBO Group, who believes that 'the company is life,' and Choi In-beom, an employee of a global investment firm who believes that 'work is work, and life is life.' Despite their completely different attitudes, thoughts, and goals regarding the company, the stills released show them gradually getting closer over a drink of soju.
In the early part of the play, In-beom appears as someone who has no idea about the taste of soju, which is loved by the people of South Korea. Therefore, he does not understand Jong-rok's love for soju or the routine of sharing a drink with colleagues after work. Concealing his ambition to take over KUKBO soju, In-beom approaches Jong-rok as if he will resolve KUKBO's crisis, and as time goes by, it shows him slowly getting influenced by Jong-rok as if he is getting drunk on soju. As Lee Je-hoon noted, 'In-beom, who was unfamiliar with soju, comes to enjoy it after meeting Jong-rok,' he undergoes a transformation, getting to know soju during their drinking sessions while also witnessing Jong-rok's passionate sincerity towards the company. Their complex relationship, deepened through soju in a situation where they compete for the fate of KUKBO soju, is expected to be another highlight of the film 'Big Deal.'
Through the production report meeting, the duo that created the 'one and only' combination of 'unique Yoo Hae-jin and harmless Lee Je-hoon' is set to deliver freshness and fun as a unique presence in theaters this summer. The film 'Big Deal,' featuring the first meeting between national actor Yoo Hae-jin and exemplary actor Lee Je-hoon, will be available in theaters nationwide on June 3 (Tuesday).
