Hollywood actor Robert De Niro recently expressed unwavering support for his child Erin, who came out as having transitioned from Namsung to female.
According to a report by the American media outlet Variety on the 30th (local time), Robert De Niro stated, "I loved and supported Aaron as my son, and now I love and support Erin as my daughter."
He added, "I don't understand what the big deal is" and noted, "I love all my children."
In 1995, Robert De Niro's son Aaron (Erin) De Niro, born to former partner Toukie Smith, recently confessed in an interview with the American magazine Them that he began hormone therapy to transition to female.
He stated, "There is no perfect parent, but fortunately, my parents kept me out of the public eye. My parents wanted me to have as ordinary a childhood as possible."
He shared the reason for going public, saying, "In public spaces like social media, trans women have become open and honest, and seeing their success made me think that it might not be too late for me."
