Kim Soo-min, the youngest former announcer at 28, has been accepted into a U.S. law school and received a full scholarship.
On the 30th, Kim Soo-min announced through her social media that "the results of the full scholarship interview at UCLA Law School have come out," adding, "I have received a scholarship that will cover most of the tuition at $50,000 (about 71 million won)."
Kim Soo-min said, "I don't know how such an opportunity has come to me, a foreigner without any study abroad experience," and added, "I am happier than when I heard about my acceptance, as I never imagined receiving a school scholarship." She also mentioned, "After publishing a new book in May, I will start this summer," and said, "I will do well in my master's program for a year and come back."
Earlier this year, Kim Soo-min shared the news of her acceptance into UCLA Law School. She joined SBS as the youngest announcer and left after about three years. In 2022, she married an older prosecutor and has a son and a daughter.
