The Wonder Girls' Hyerim visited her hometown, Hong Kong, in 'The Return of Superman.'
In the episode aired on the 30th of KBS2TV's variety show 'The Return of Superman' (hereafter 'The Return'), U Hye-rim's family appeared. On that day, Hyerim visited Hong Kong with her first son, Siwoo, and her husband, Shin Min-cheol.
U Hye-rim said, "I spent my school years in Hong Kong, and my parents and relatives still live in Hong Kong. To me, Hong Kong is my hometown." Hyerim asked, "Should I practice Cantonese?" and taught her son Siwoo some Cantonese phrases, including "thank you," "hello," and "excuse me" on the plane. Siwoo showed signs of being a language prodigy, picking it up quickly.
Next, Hyerim's family home was introduced. The luxurious mansion, equipped with a gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and an indoor sports hall, dazzled everyone.
Park Soo-hong expressed surprise, saying, "U Hye-rim came from a rich family!" Hyerim humbly remarked, "This is the house my parents bought when the prices crashed during the IMF crisis. But the value of that house has increased tenfold now."
