Broadcaster Lee Sang-min expressed his feelings about remarrying in a handwritten letter.
On the 30th, Lee posted a handwritten letter on his social media, saying, "You must have been very surprised by the sudden news."
He said, "I have someone I love very much. I plan to move into the second act of life together with her," adding, "She is someone who makes me want to protect her through any hardships, and I believe that with her, I can happily spend my life forever."
He added, "Since she is a precious person I found late, I have been very cautious and have delayed informing those around me," saying, "You may have been surprised, but I would be very grateful if you could celebrate and bless us together."
Lastly, he conveyed, "I will live each moment with more responsibility in order to repay those who continue to support and encourage me in the future."
Lee Sang-min married actress and painter Lee Hye-young in 2004 but divorced the following year. After clearing 6.9 billion won of debt due to business failures last year, Lee is now embarking on a new chapter with a remarriage after 20 years of divorce.
In relation to this, SBS stated to OSEN that "it is true that Mr. Lee Sang-min is remarrying a non-celebrity," adding that relevant content will be broadcast on "My Little Old Boy" on May 11.
