(Following Interview ③) Actress Han Gree revealed a surprising appetite that contrasts with her slender figure.
Recently, Han Gree conducted an interview regarding the end of the KBS2 daily drama "Cinderella Game" at a café in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
"Cinderella Game" is a drama depicting the story of a woman who is used as a fake daughter by an enemy and becomes the embodiment of revenge, realizing the true meaning of vengeance as she grows and heals.
On the 25th, as "Cinderella Game" concluded its 101 episodes, when asked how Han Gree spent her time outside of work, she noted, "I'm busy. On my days off, I watch the kids, wake up and send them to school. Since I need to memorize the script when I work, I have to review that and also exercise," revealing that her routine is even busier than when she is working.
She said, "Now, if I don't exercise, my body gets saggy. My condition deteriorates and my body becomes lethargic, so I need to exercise. I'm doing a lot of exercises: pilates, yoga, flying yoga, swimming, and weightlifting, so I have to split my time to do them all." She added, "When I was younger, I wasn't interested in such (management). I'm not the style to care about appearance. Rather, I started paying attention to these things only now. Back then, I had no sense of how to look pretty. My surroundings would say, 'You should make an effort,' or 'How can you go out looking like this?' so I had no sense of that. As time has passed, I've often thought, 'I wish I had taken care of my skin when I was younger,' and that's why I've started visiting dermatology lately."
Han Gree, who is raising twin children on her own after divorce, shared, "I try to manage myself when the kids are going to school. That way, when they come back, I can focus on parenting feeling refreshed. I started exercising only when the kids were under 5 years old, as I was only at home. I prepared cleaning, laundry, and meals before they came back, but I ended up with no time for myself and felt burnt out. I felt like saying, 'How have I lived for you?' whenever the kids would say, 'I don't like mom.' I thought everyone needs their own time, aimed to manage it well, and I'm living my life accordingly."
Han Gree, who is gaining attention for her slender figure, especially thanks to her consistent exercise, revealed, "I love eating." She explained, "During the first reading for the drama, they asked me, 'Do you like eating?' and I said, 'I really eat well.' At that time, they thought, 'It doesn't matter what you eat.' Now, whenever teachers see me, they say, 'Are you eating again?' Teacher Na Young-hee would say, 'Are you eating again? Stop eating!' but still brings me food if there's something to eat. They'll ask, 'Is there something delicious we can order from the shop? You know good food, right?"
He shared, "I'm a big eater. I eat better than most men. When I go to a meat restaurant, I can eat four to five servings of meat and two bowls of rice all by myself. I need to exercise like this, or I can't maintain my weight. I can gain several kilograms in just one day. It doesn't take long to lose weight and then gain it back. If I decide I want to gain some weight, I can put on 7 to 8 kilograms in about three days. I really eat a lot. That's why dieting is so stressful, but I can't completely avoid it."
He continued, "When I have a double chin, I get negative comments saying, 'Lose weight,' so I have no choice but to manage my weight. However, I found that when I tried dieting, I felt stressed and wondered, 'Why am I gaining weight?' So, I decided to just eat what I wanted at lunch and indulge. It's not good for my body, but I eat what I want at lunchtime, and from the afternoon, I don't eat. I eat salad or fruit for dinner and lie down, thinking about the menu I want to eat tomorrow. I sleep thinking, 'I need to eat this as soon as I wake up,' and then I go out to eat when the next day starts."
