Former announcer and broadcaster Kim Soo-min has reported passing the interview for a full scholarship to law school.
On the 30th, Kim Soo-min posted on her social account, "The results of the UCLA law school full scholarship interview, which took place recently, have come out. I have received a scholarship of $50,000, which will cover almost all of my tuition fees."
She said, "I don't know how such an opportunity came to me, a foreigner without any study abroad experience. It seems thanks to those who prayed for me. Or perhaps it feels like the encouragement I receive for my perseverance. Or maybe it feels like the luck my kids brought me to cheer me on."
Previously, Kim Soo-min announced her acceptance into UCLA law school in January of this year. Since then, she has been praised for sharing a vlog video of herself studying even while pregnant. Additionally, she has received significant support after revealing that she was given a scholarship nearly covering full tuition.
Kim Soo-min expressed, "After receiving a letter about the suddenly inflated amount from the scholarship I was originally supposed to receive, I was dazed. I never imagined receiving a school scholarship, so I'm happier than when I heard the acceptance news. I will start after the publication of my new book in May this summer. I will do well during my first year of master's. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me."
Meanwhile, Kim Soo-min became known as 'SBS's youngest announcer ever' by joining SBS as a 24th-term announcer at the age of 21 in October 2018. Later, in 2021, she resigned to focus on her studies, and in 2022, she married a prosecutor who is five years older and welcomed her first son that same year. Last May, she announced the birth of her second daughter.
