Broadcaster Lee Soo-geun reported on the healthy condition of his second son, who is known to have cerebral palsy.
On the 28th, during the broadcast of KBS Joy 'Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller,' Lee Soo-geun and Seo Jang-hoon talked about the current situation of a person raising a 7-year-old daughter alone after his wife passed away during childbirth at 7 months of pregnancy.
In a previous broadcast, the person shared that his wife passed away shortly after delivering the baby. In response, Lee Soo-geun cautiously asked, "I have similar experiences, but there might be health issues for the child as well," to which the person explained, "Since he was born at 1.2 kg, there is still overall developmental delay."
Seo Jang-hoon, upon hearing that the person's monthly income was between 10 million won and 20 million won, advised him, "You should find a good teacher and ask for various things. You have no choice but to work harder. And make sure to pay more attention to your child when you come home." Lee Soo-geun also encouraged, "As you find relaxation, various methods will become visible to you."
In response, Seo Jang-hoon noted, "Thanks to the advice to focus on business and hiring someone to take care of the child, it seems sales have greatly increased. Moreover, working hard during the week and spending time on weekends with my daughter has made me much more at ease," sharing the person's current condition. Lee Soo-geun said, "I believe that as you live hard, your daughter will grow up and realize that her dad worked hard for her, and she will be grateful."
Additionally, Seo Jang-hoon mentioned, "It seems that having Dong-ja (Lee Soo-geun) empathize a lot provided great comfort, and thanks to the fortune tellers' advice, I think I am living a better life," adding his gratitude. Lee Soo-geun responded, "It won't be an easy path ahead, but I will continue to support you and your lovely daughter toward a bright future."
In particular, during the broadcast, Lee Soo-geun mentioned his second son, leading to a surge of related articles. Lee Soo-geun married Park Ji-yeon, who is 12 years younger, in 2008, and they have two sons. Park Ji-yeon faced kidney issues due to gestational hypertension during her second pregnancy, receiving a kidney transplant from her father in 2011. After being advised for a re-transplant in 2021, she has continued dialysis treatment. Additionally, it is known that the second son, delivered prematurely, has cerebral palsy, resulting in disabilities in his right arm and leg.
Regarding this, Lee Soo-geun explained, "(After the broadcast) there has been a lot of talk about my son. It is not that serious, but the articles portray it too seriously."
Seo Jang-hoon said, "He is studying abroad and living very happily, so don't worry," while Lee Soo-geun joked, "He is in his third month abroad, but he contacted me saying his English hasn't improved at all. He wants to come back to Korea..." Seo Jang-hoon added, "He is doing just fine by himself."
