On the 29th, a production presentation for the KBS2 new Wednesday-Thursday drama "24-Hour Health Club" (written by Kim Ji-soo, directed by Park Joon-soo and Choi Yeon-soo) was held at The Saint in Sindorim-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul.
"24-Hour Health Club" is a thrilling rom-com about a fitness enthusiast gym director, Do Hyun-jung (played by Lee Joon-young), who dramatically corrects the lives of gym beginners overly concerned about their worries. The director, Park Joon-soo, who has been recognized for his directing in works like "Gau's Electronics" and "Music's God," collaborated joyfully with writer Kim Ji-soo, who demonstrated delicate writing skills in "Postnatal Care Center."
Jeong Eun-ji plays the role of gym beginner Lee Mi-ran, who is on a "muscle-free" journey. After parting ways with her favorite foods and starting to clock in at the health club, Mi-ran experiences a hellish transformation. As Mi-ran, who started exercising out of frustration with love and life, meets the overly passionate trainer Hyun-jung, attention is focused on whether she can successfully reboot her life.
Having gained and lost 9 kg during filming, Jeong Eun-ji said, "Regarding weight changes, Lee Joon-young also started to gain weight and ate more protein than I did. For me, exercising started because of my herniated disc, and it might be the reason I could stay healthy and be perceived healthily in terms of my image. During filming, the meaning of exercise became even more positive; I feel grateful to have met this character thanks to my disc and exercise."
She added, "After filming finished, my value for exercise increased significantly. Through weight changes, I realized I can control my body as I wish. While doing activities with Apink and filming, I wondered if I could do it, but fortunately, I received a lot of help from those around me. The physical changes made me desire to maintain a better posture than before."
KBS2's new Wednesday-Thursday drama "24-Hour Health Club" will have its first broadcast on the 30th at 9:50 p.m.
