Joo Won continues to show off his friendship with the members of Big Bang on 'Choi Hwa-jung and Kim Ho-young's I Missed You.'
In the 8th episode of the ENA entertainment show 'Choi Hwa-jung and Kim Ho-young's I Missed You,' which aired on the 27th, actor Joo Won appeared as a guest.
'New Recruit' Joo Won attracted attention by revealing in response to a question about his military service, 'Actually, at that time, I changed my job. I thought, 'I am a soldier for 2 years.' I was really in a state of mind where I thought, 'I will protect my country. I will kill anyone who attacks.'
During his military service, Joo Won served as an instructor at the New Recruit Training Battalion. He was especially regarded as the number one instructor that trainees feared. Joo Won explained, 'It's because I'm an FM that they fear me,' and added, 'The instructors are intimidating due to their deep hats, even if I don't do much.'
Joo Won also recalled that G-Dragon had entered as a recruit while he was serving as an instructor. He said, 'At that time, Ji-yong came in. He worked really hard, and I was shocked by that.'
'You know, we do 'left foot, right foot.' He walks loosely (at the beginning of training), and anyone can tell it's Ji-yong. Later, he switched to a military stance. In my view, he really works hard when he comes. He gets along well with the kids, creating lasting bonds until now.'
Rather, Joo Won noted that he made many celebrity friends during his military service. He mentioned, 'I didn't have any (celebrity friends) before. I got to know all the Big Bang members while in the military, and because I met Taeyang and Daesung there, we quickly became close.' He shared how he formed the group 'Goonbang' with Beenzino, Taeyang, Daesung, and Ko Kyung-pyo.
Joo Won, who still keeps in touch with the members of Goonbang, shared, 'I went to reserve forces training not long ago, and it was so boring. I went back and forth. I wondered if anyone would come, so I contacted them. When I asked, 'Is anyone coming today?' Taeyang replied, 'Hyung, I'm here. I'm in the front row.' I spent the whole day with Taeyang, chatting.'
Meanwhile, Joo Won caught attention by saying that he no longer suffers from minor ailments since going to the military. He stated, 'People say that going to the military cures everything, but I actually thought that was nonsense. I used to live with gastroenteritis and colds, but they all went away. Moreover, I used to feel unwell after vaccinations, but all those symptoms disappeared in the military.'
Joo Won expressed his amazement, saying, 'I no longer get gastroenteritis or colds. I received consecutive vaccinations in the military, and I was really worried about that. But it turned out fine. Even after returning from the military, everything remains the same.'
