Kim Bu-sun recently posted the parody titled 'The Silence of the Man' on her social media, stating, "I have never written such a horrific poem close to pornography, and it is not my handwriting. The moment I first saw this writing, I felt insulted, angry, frustrated, and sad, and I could even understand the feelings of a murderer."
The problematic post is titled 'The Silence of the Man.' It is attributed to Kim Bu-sun and evokes memories of the past scandal with Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung. In the past, Kim Bu-sun claimed to have seen a mole on a specific part of Lee Jae-myung's body while they were involved in an extramarital relationship. Such content is contained in 'The Silence of the Man.'
Upon seeing this, Kim Bu-sun said, "I, actress Kim Bu-sun, have experienced fake news and online abuse terror for many years. I have barely endured the long years under the mistaken belief that enduring is the fate of female actors, and due to the aftereffects, I have been living with my silent dog for the past nine years. I have experienced insomnia, social anxiety, loss of self-esteem, and suicidal impulses multiple times."
Moreover, she stated, "There are many unfortunate incidents where countless fellow entertainers take their own lives. The damage is unimaginable; it is a crime that makes not only me but also the viewers feel awkward and uncomfortable. However, the accused has impersonated the author as the complainant, misleading viewers into thinking that I wrote this, causing many people to read it."
In particular, Kim Bu-sun expressed, "I believe that candidate Lee Jae-myung is also a victim, just like me. There is a considerable chance that candidate Lee Jae-myung could be misunderstood to have written it. His supporters are also likely to misinterpret and believe it is my writing, which will amplify the hatred and curses directed towards me. I, the complainant Kim Bu-sun, am a public cultural artist whose name and face can be recognized. I have never written such a horrific poem close to pornography, and it is not my handwriting.
I have previously expressed my deep sense of injustice in tears due to serious defamation based on falsehood during a live broadcast on Kim Bu-sun TV. Many of my subscribers have sent me messages saying they have seen such writings indiscriminately circulating in the market.
Recognizing the seriousness of the situation made it hard to endure the tragedy; the moment I first saw this writing, I felt insulted, angry, frustrated, and sad, and I could even understand the feelings of a murderer. How could someone commit such a crime? How did their mentality descend to this level of criminality? I was confused and fearful of others.
I, actress Kim Bu-sun, have long suffered from fake news and online abuse terror, enduring the mistaken belief that simply enduring is the fate of female actors, and I have been living quietly with my silent dog for the past nine years.
When I fall asleep, I unknowingly grind my teeth, leading to dental damage and receding gums, and I have experienced insomnia, social anxiety, loss of self-esteem, and suicidal impulses several times. Life sometimes feels unbearable... I am living through miserable times filled with depression.
Investigators, entertainers are people too, and we have human rights. It is not uncommon for us to be subjected to personality assassination through far more fake news and online abuse than ordinary people. This causes severe mental suffering, degenerates the mind, and leads to a loss of self-esteem, causing harm to social adaptation.
In fact, there have been many unfortunate incidents where fellow entertainers have taken their own lives. The damage is beyond imagination; I believe it is a crime that causes not just myself but also the viewers to feel uncomfortable and embarrassed.

As an entertainer who lives off public popularity, I am a mother and a beloved child of my mother and a sister, an aunt, and a dear friend to my neighbors. If they come across this writing, they might mistakenly think, "My mother, my sibling, my aunt, my friend, and my neighbor have lost their minds. How did it come to this? It's frightening," and distance themselves and hate me.
The resulting damage is a cruel reality that I alone must bear.

Furthermore, the reference in the poem is to Lee Jae-myung, who ran for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination in the 20th presidential election. I believe that candidate Lee Jae-myung is also a victim, just like me. There is a significant chance that candidate Lee Jae-myung could be misunderstood to have written it.
When I sometimes find it difficult to cope with the unfairness, I may express myself harshly, but I have never lied. His supporters are likely to misinterpret and believe it is my writing, which will amplify the hatred and curses directed towards me.
