Actress Ham Eun-jung, a former member of the group T-ara, expressed her feelings about the title of 'Queen of Daily Dramas,' saying it makes her 'embarrassed.'
Ham Eun-jung shared her thoughts and determination regarding the new project at the production presentation for KBS 1TV's new daily drama 'The Queen's House' (written by Kim Min-joo, directed by Hong Seok-goo and Hong Eun-mi), held online at 11 a.m. on the 28th.
'The Queen's House' is a revenge drama about a woman who firmly believed she had a perfect life but has it completely stolen away. Ham Eun-jung plays the role of Kang Jae-in, the daughter of a chaebol family, who seeks revenge despite dreaming of a normal life.
Ham Eun-jung has received much love by continuously appearing in daily dramas such as 'Love's Spiral,' 'Even if Deceived, Dreaming,' and 'We Hit the Jackpot.' Ahead of the first broadcast of 'The Queen's House,' she is garnering attention with the title of 'Queen of Daily Dramas.'
That day, Ham Eun-jung stated, 'I feel embarrassed by the title of queen,' adding, 'When I first received the script, I thought it was really interesting. I wanted to try this kind of fun script myself.'
'It's a work with an attractive pace of development. Viewers who enjoy daily dramas might be surprised and say, 'Can it really unfold like this?' There are parts where I try to add more to the script to make it more interesting. It was a script that made me want to participate,' she added, urging anticipation.
Additionally, Ham Eun-jung explained the reason for choosing a revenge drama for the first time, saying, 'I have done many warm dramas, but this is my first time experiencing a cold revenge drama. I wanted to show a different side of myself as an actress, so I decided to participate. Even though she comes from a diamond spoon, she has a simple side and possesses a very warm character. The part where her life goes downhill and she actively changes is attractive. I think viewers will feel catharsis from that part, and I approached it with the determination to do really well.'
'The Queen's House,' starring Ham Eun-jung, will air its first episode today (28th) at 7:50 p.m.
