Yoon Hyun-min grew up with his biological mother but maintained a warm relationship with his stepmother, who came after his father's remarriage.

Yoon Hyun-min said, "My father asked, 'Why aren't you working? Are you failing?'" He continued, "Thinking about it, I realized that my presence on TV might make my father healthier. So, I asked my agency, 'Isn't there a way I can broadcast quickly?'" Ultimately, he appeared in a baseball variety show for his father in the hospital.
However, that broadcast never reached his father. Yoon Hyun-min expressed deep regret and sorrow, saying, "I could have just filmed and let it air, but my father passed away before the first broadcast."
