In the episode aired on the 27th of tvN's weekend drama 'Seulgi's New Life as a Resident' (written by Kim Song-hee, directed by Lee Min-soo), Oi-young (played by Go Youn-jung) made a sharp remark to Myung Eun-won, who is closer to a teacher than a senior, for her crush, Gu Do-won (played by Jung Jun-won).
Eom Jae-il (played by Kang Yu-seok) was worried about the relationship between Pyo Nam-kyung (played by Shin Si A) and Kim Sa-bi (played by Han Ye-ji), which had reached an incompatible level; however, Oi-young remained indifferent.
Pyo Nam-kyung asked, 'Professor Jo Jun-mo hasn't arrived yet, right? Did you speak well to the patient?' and Kim Sa-bi responded, 'No, it says 6:30. That's your responsibility. Starting from 6:31, it's on-duty responsibility,' and confronted her. Additionally, they failed to realize that there was an insurmountable gap between Pyo Nam-kyung, who was struggling due to her bad relationship with her boyfriend, and the logical and rational Kim Sa-bi.
Pyo Nam-kyung lamented to the patient, 'I have the worst luck with my peers. One is retaking a year, and the other lacks humanity. It feels like I'm talking to A.I. Oi-young took care of a patient who had a loving husband. The husband was devoted, promising to take care of his wife while driving around. The nurse said, 'The patient's husband turned around saying to take good care of his wife. Is there a man like that in the world?' but Oi-young replied, 'Sometimes, yes, there is one in my house,' remaining indifferent.
It was Gu Do-won who moved Oi-young's heart. While Oi-young worked alongside Gu Do-won, he lost a paper to Myung Eun-won. Myung Eun-won remarked, 'About the paper we arranged last month, the contributions aren't equal for both of us to be co-first authors. I've also created new data, so I listed Gu Do-won as the second author. But I forgot to mention it before I submitted.'
The paper was indeed one that received an award. The professor said, 'I heard from Myung Eun-won. If Gu Do-won hadn't been so busy at the last minute, he could have been a co-author. What a shame,' and upon hearing this, Oi-young gritted her teeth.
Myung Eun-won attempted to pass the prize money for the paper to Gu Do-won as an act of goodwill. Myung Eun-won said, 'It seems right for Gu Do-won to have this.
