In 'Oh My Ghost Clients,' actor Cha Hak-yeon transforms into a video creator.
On the 28th, the production team of the new MBC weekend drama 'Oh My Ghost Clients' (written by Kim Bo-tong and Yoo Seung-hee, directed by Im Soon-rye and Lee Han-jun) released a still cut of Cha Hak-yeon.
'Oh My Ghost Clients' is a comic fantasy action drama featuring a labor lawyer who sees ghosts and tackles various labor issues in a humorous manner. Jung Kyung-ho, Seol In-a, and Cha Hak-yeon will show fantastic teamwork as they solve the labor problems requested by the ghosts.
Cha Hak-yeon takes on the role of Ko Gyeon-woo, a video creator with a mix of wit and quirky humor who comes from a journalistic background. Ko Gyeon-woo currently operates the dopamine-filled 'Gyeon-jjang TV' channel. While he is more focused on 'view counts' than 'meaning,' his experiences with labor lawyer Noh Mu-jin (played by Jung Kyung-ho) and Na Hee-joo (played by Seol In-a) cause his perspective to change. He also shows a pure side, touched by the stories of vengeful spirits.
The first still cut of Cha Hak-yeon from 'Oh My Ghost Clients' showcases Gyeon-woo's quirky and lively antics. Capturing the camera, he conducts live broadcasts and comes up with brilliant ideas to increase view counts, highlighting Cha Hak-yeon's playful personality. Dressed in work clothes and deployed to a labor site, his appearance hints at Gyeon-woo's diverse infiltration strategies, amplifying curiosity.
Cha Hak-yeon, who has steadily grown as an actor through various works, is expected to show a new side in 'Oh My Ghost Clients.' Gyeon-woo, a character who admires Mu-jin like an older brother and has a budding romance with Hee-joo, will create diverse chemistry with them, raising interest in how Cha Hak-yeon will portray these relationships.
The production team of 'Oh My Ghost Clients' stated, "Cha Hak-yeon met a character that allows him to showcase his new charm and delivered remarkable performances in the drama. His transformation when the camera is on, just like the character Gyeon-woo, was impressive. We hope you look forward to the delightful transformation that Cha Hak-yeon will display as he embarks on comic acting."
'Oh My Ghost Clients' is also drawing attention as the first drama directed by filmmaker Im Soon-rye. Writers Kim Bo-tong, known for OTT dramas 'D.P.' and 'Hwang-ya,' and Yoo Seung-hee, known for the films 'My Love, My Bride' and 'I Can Speak,' contributed to the script. It will premiere on Friday, May 30, at 9:50 p.m.
