Many singers, including the group Epik High, John Park, and Jang Jae-in, had their performances canceled due to noncompliance with the contract by the 'Youth Weather Night Festival.'
Jang Jae-in noted on the 26th, "The festival performance has been canceled due to the noncompliance with the contract by the festival on 5/3."
He added, "Many artists are now in a difficult situation. We are also working on solutions. I am disappointed to learn of this situation during preparations."
John Park's agency, Music Farm Entertainment, also stated, "Hello, this is Music Farm. John Park, who was scheduled to perform at the 'Youth Weather Night Festival' on May 3, 2025, has inevitably canceled his performance due to the festival's noncompliance with the contract," adding, "We sincerely apologize to the fans who were looking forward to the scheduled stage and aim to minimize confusion and inconvenience by conveying this quickly. Thank you."
John Park and Jang Jae-in were initially scheduled to take the stage at the 'Youth Weather Night Festival.' However, according to Jang Jae-in's assertion, the performance was canceled due to the festival's noncompliance with the contract.
While no specific matters regarding the noncompliance have been disclosed, judging from Jang Jae-in's position, it is presumed that it is not merely a schedule change but a failure to uphold significant contractual terms. Other artists who were set to participate in the 'Youth Weather Night Festival' are also in a similar situation.
The 'Youth Weather Night Festival' organizers stated, "We sincerely apologize for the unavoidable change in the lineup due to internal circumstances," and "We regret to inform that the following artists will unfortunately be unable to participate in this event." Artists whose performances were canceled include John Park, Moon Byul, Ulala Session, Jang Jae-in, Siso, Dick Punks, Lee Byung-chan, Suran, So Hyang, Epik High, and Lee Solomon.
The organizers announced that they will provide full refunds to customers who wish to cancel their attendance due to the changes in the lineup. It is expected that automatic refunds will be processed without additional requests, and they reiterated their apologies for the inconvenience caused by the sudden changes. They added, "We will do our best to deliver a fulfilling stage and enjoyable experiences during the remaining period."
Meanwhile, the 'Youth Weather Night Festival' is a performance that gathers musicians from various genres to create a stage, generating anticipation primarily among a young audience. However, this controversy raises concerns about potential disruptions to the festival's execution.
