JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) boy group NEXZ has unveiled the teaser for the music video of the title track 'O-RLY?' for the first time, evoking images of a sci-fi movie.
NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Gun, Seita, Huey, Yuki) will release their mini album 'O-RLY?' and the title track of the same name on April 28, marking their comeback. JYP has first showcased the teaser for the music video of the title track 'O-RLY?' on the official SNS channel on the afternoon of the 25th, further amplifying the atmosphere.
The video begins with the lyrics "Yo, I gotta gotta tell you something" flowing from an old TV screen. Behind the seven members, who are frozen in a specific pose as if time has stopped, a gorilla energetically plays the drums, creating a contrasting and intriguing atmosphere. As a green candy rolls across the floor and enters Tomoya's mouth, the members gradually rise and start to groove to the lively sound. This curiosity is piqued about the identity of the green candy, which also appeared in the previous teasing content and in the teaser for the title track's music video.
The title track 'O-RLY?' expresses NEXZ's cool attitude and spirit of enjoying the world in their own way, free from the judgment of others. The song features a street mood based on old-school hip-hop rhythms, a powerful sound, and witty lyrics as key points of enjoyment.
NEXZ is heating up fan excitement with diverse teasing content for their first comeback in 2025. Notably, the highlight medley of new songs featuring the group's special performance has garnered attention as members Tomoya, Yuu, and Haru participated directly in choreographing the dance, surpassing 1 million views on YouTube. On the 24th, leader Tomoya opened a teaser video he directed, showcasing their versatile charm.
Meanwhile, NEXZ's mini album 'O-RLY?' will be officially released on the 28th (Monday) at 6 p.m. On the same day at 8 p.m., 'NEXZ COMEBACK SHOW O-RLY?' will be broadcast globally on Mnet and M2's YouTube channel, and will present stages for new songs including the title track 'O-RLY?'. Additionally, a pop-up store commemorating the album release will be held in the Seongdong District of Seoul at EQL Seongsu from April 30 to May 11 for a total of 12 days.
